I'm doing a small audio upgrade in the element. I dont want anything too fancy in the E since it's my daily which I park outsideat night, and I really dont want to clutter the interior or have to worry about theft, so everything but the HU will be stealth mounted like factory.
I'll be installing an Alpine CDA-9835 HU later on this week. I chose this model because it was last years top model which featured the Bio-lite display and the internal V-drive amp, 27 true rated watts per channel. Most decks might say 50x4, but you actually would be lucky to get 15x4 rated. I will be running all the door speakers off of the HU internal amp to keep it simple.
Today I mounted the front tweeter amp that will power the new tweeters in the pillars. It's a small sony that I had laying around. I chose this because (it was free), and I thought it could fit in the EX stock amp location. Not too many amps out there that small.
