Have any on your Element or are you the nothing is going to sully my ride type? If so what type/types do you have.

I was curious since several of you have removed the Honda and Element Logos and a few have the H3 stickers.

Our Black E has a small chrome "Original" Swede Savage Helmet decal on the rear window lower left corner. Swede was my childhood hero and died from injuries suffered in a crash in the Indy 500 in 1973. We finally have a car worthy enough to wear a 30 year old decal on it..... and it looks GREAT! Of course we also have our bridge toll sticer on the side window.

For those of you who like stickers, I highly recommend the club logo sticker for the back glass. ;) The image below is long, but the sticker is actually 5.25" x 2.13".

I've never been a fan of bumper stickers on my vehicles, but if I did add any it'd be an American Legion and/or 40/8 decal.

I have never had any stickers on my car.... but the E is different....I have my EOC sticker and I am awaiting the arrival of two penguin stickers for the back of my E!

You can get that sticker from a website that is listed under the links on the mainpage of EOC. In fact, they are one of the advertisers. It is element stuff (http://wwww.elementstuff.com) and they even have the hummer lite sticker for DaHui!

I was wondering if anyone has looked into getting the club sticker as just the words and not the full "old school" black box. I have a NBP Element, but still would rather have a cleaner looking decal than the big rectangle.

You can't see the black if you put it on the black part of the window. An alternative would be to cut out the parts you want and stick it on.

I have 4 stickers on my car 1 on each side of the rear windows that say's ELEMENT-(it's a skateboard company) and 2 in the back 1 on each bottom corner on the left I have my IAFF sticker(firefighter union sticker) and the right bottom my green circle ELEMENT sticker I received from my dealer.

I don't have any stickers as of yet...I'm still recovering from the fact that somebody had the nerve to spit on my E! I can only imagine what else is in store for me and my E... :cry:

In any case, I was thinking of removing the rear "H" and "ELEMENT", then cutting up the element logo into it's individual letters, repaint them into a dark gray, and stick it back onto the rear but centered and spaced apart from each other.

I would then get a "screw aerodynamics" sticker and place it below my new element logo, also centered.

Any thoughts or opinions on how this might look? The more positive comments, the more quickly I'll get around to doing it! :D

EOC sticker and a RT4WD sticker when I get it.

The first day I got the Element, I decided to do some customizing...I didn't put stickers ON it, but REMOVED one or two. First was the decal from the dealership......a paper towel soaked in hot water made that very easy to remove. Next I removed the chrome "H" from the tailgate....that required lifting up the edge and working an unfolded edge of cotton handkerchief under the emblem, and "sawing" it back and forth to cut through the blob of glue. It came off in less than a minute and the residue cleaned up nicely, with no chemicals. Last I removed the "H" from the center of the front grille.
Now the only "badge" on the vehicle says "ELEMENT." When someone looks curiously and wonders "What is that???!!!".....let them try to figure it out. I am traveling 'incognito' now. Loving the G Green EX....
My father-in-law saw it today and really loved the color.....reminded him of "OD" (olive drab) military green he said. He suggested (laughingly) a couple of small US flags on the corners of the front fenders, like the lead jeep in the general's entourage. I might consider that.... :-)

Has anyone else "deleted" stickers or emblems as I did, rather than adding them?

Some other wise Element owner posted a picture of his ride adorned with this sticker several months ago. My wife noticed that I got such a kick out of that picture so she arranged for a friend to go to a Hot Topic in Chicago to snag one for me! Ain't love grand? :lol:

Ordinarily the black background on the sticker blends right in with the black tint on the glass, but the bright flash in my dark garage this morning seems to have amped up the difference

Well lets see... On my windshield I have an ELEMENT decal. On the back glass I have my parking pass, a big H decal, and of course my EOC sticker

A small 3" x 3" US Dragonboat Team emblem on one of the side windows will be it for me. Especially in philly where a lot of the cops are into dragonboating and such (can never be too friendly with the cops).

Then there is my Pegasis(sp) (winged horse) representing BRAG (Buell Riders Adventure Group) on the lower sever corner of the rigth corner window. Across the top, last but NOT LEAST!!, is my U.S. Army sticker.

Just won in the 'Hunt' my very own EOC sticker, I'll have to decide where that one goes when I get it. I also have one more I want to use, but not sure where I should put that either, it reads 'GOT MASTIFFS.'

I took off thosw KARR stickers the dealer put on my front side windows. I put on the US Military base stickers fo Los Alamitos AFRC, in lower windshield corner, and a Sergeant Major (rank) stick,centered above the mirror.

The GGM color looks great when I approach the Military Police at the front gate, and they adress me as Sergeant Major.

the honda logo is from a "powered by honda" windshield stickie. i cut the 3 from aluminum duct tape. (the real stuff) burnished lightly with a little steel wool. so far. no oxidation. no peelies.

the H3 thing pertains not to Hummer, but to Honda, Cubed. lol

I have a friend that is moving from HI to RI to go to school there (to get her Masters). She's originally from the east coast there, but lived in Hawaii for the past 10 years. That might be close enough...

I have 3 decals on the E. One is a family symbol, another is the logo for "Tara" a surf shop in Papeete, and the other is my brother-in-laws business logo with my few minor changes.

Took two bumper stickers from a local restaurant call Amigo's which say "Eat at Amigo's" and cut out the "m" and e" from the second placing those characters over the other in the "at" position and placed a white portion over the "s" on Amigo's - and whalla! That's right it now says "Eat me Amigo"

Each member who placed a t-shirt order in the last round got a free decal so I'm hoping to see a pic or two online soon so you can see how they look. I'm told they look great though. They are just like our previous black decal, but this time without the black background so it blends in w/ your window better.

Normally I don't put on stickers, other than the multitude of "pay to use the public lands" stickers. But somehow that Element rear picture window just begged for a series of inside static cling stickers that swim in and out of the dark tint like a Magic 8 Ball, depending on the light.

They include a tiny Snork (posting name for another forum), made in
USA logo, Taiji symbol, 4WD logo, a coyote with "adapt" under it, a turtle petroglyph with Honda Honu (you do have YOUR Element forum name on you car?), and a mtn bike petroglyph.

It got out of hand when I figured out how to make my own static cling stickers. 8) The do rotate out and change from time to time, and they are suprisingly discreet with the tinted window.

I've never put stickers/bumper stickers or decals of any kind on any of my previous vehicles. But, the Element is different. I don't know why but, I had to do it :twisted: I put "Hot Wheels" stickers on the the back passengers side windows. Also, "Got Black Russians?" on the back right side rear window. I think I'll stop there. :D
:oops: And possibly a sticker of Elmo looking out somewhere.

By adding an apple sticker to each side (and scratching off the e-machines logo) it finally looks like a respectable paperweight!

As far as my remaining apple sticker (if I can find it) I'll have to place it in the CENTER of my rear window. Then it will be the Apple of my "E"! ;)

I have an Oakley "O" sticker (by the way Oakley makes FANTASTIC quality stickers) lower/center above the wiper.

Another Oakley Skull sticker in the lower/left corner...rather small.

And just ordered my EOC sticker which I am going to trim down so there is only 1/8" around the design...this will go lower/right.

I have two on my rear window. The one on the upper Drivers side is Krusty the Clown outline the other one on the pass. side is Hong Kong Fuey.

Custom stickers are relatively cheap. Check with a local sign shop.

The first thing I slapped on my window was my SCREW AERODYNAMICS sticker. I love it. On the other side I have a sticker for the aerospace company I work for...a little incongruous I'll admit....

Have come very close to putting on my ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US sticker. That never ceases to crack me up...

I have an apple sticker (from my iPod) and a super mex sticker (where I work).

I have a chrome EX below the Element emblem, on the oppsite side i-VTEC.

my favorite addition is a black "A Perfect Circle" decal centered above the H emblem. I then painted the emblem black to match the decal...looks amazing

Something about that idea really intrigues me! I can just see my beautiful SOP with bright flames down the side! Maybe it's because the sheer irony of a flame-job on an E is just too... too... Elemental!

Do they actually make vinyl, stick-on flames? (You'll notice that I still have one foot in the real world -- I'm not crazy enough to actually paint them on, for Pete's sake!)

As a longtime fan of Calvin & Hobbes I ordered the "racing box" sticker from stickergiant.com. This graphic seems so appropriate for the Element. I was very disappointed when they wrote me back informing me that the sticker was sold out. Not knowing when I could get one I decided to make my own.

1. I captured the enlarged image from stickergiant's website and then printed it out, then....

2. covered the image side with clear Contac shelf paper....

3. and razored the image away from the surrounding paper.

4. I then painted the image side with clear 2-part mixed epoxy.

5. After the epoxy set and dried I coated the back side of the graphic with clear silicone adhesive and then applied it to the window.

When the vinyl sticker is again available from stickergiant I'll order one and replace the home made one, but for now the quick fix seems to work well.

Personally, I'd "stick" with yours...

Yeah I got stickers everywhere. Stripe on door had put on the first week I bought it. Had it cutom made to match the Element lettering localy. Image4u.com is where I got the "FUNKY ADDITION" stickers. EOC sticker on left corner of rear window. Finally Mooneyes sticker ontop of a custom made (by me) carbon fiber sticker inside on overhead door. That's all folks....done.

I had that made at a local sign/graphics shop. Selected a font with rounded edges so it would be less likely to peel off, and took in a postscript file. Although the sign shop couldn't import it into their program, they were able to duplicate the font/size. Cost thirteen bucks and took about fifteen minutes (they charged by the letter). It's a very light grey vinyl, but they had about 15-20 colors, including metallics. Two years later it still looks good as new. If there's no place locally to get it done, there are on-line sources.

I only use vinyl stickers or suction cups (both go on inside), so I don't muck up my car (and can change them easily.) I have: "My Pug is Smarther than Your Honor Student" and "I Love Pugs".

I have a very cool decal. In fact it's so cool that I get compliments on it almost everyday. It was designed by an graphic artist friend of mine. It's unique and very hip just like my Element. Unfortunately I won't tell you what it is or what it looks like because everyone is going to dupe it. If you want to see it you'll have to find me and my E. We'll be hanging at Lake Tahoe August 18, 19 & 20.

BTW the little square of sticky tape that comes on the FSM badge is worse than useless. I used double-sided foam tape and cut around the noodly appendages with a craft knife.

Okay. So I caved. I ordered three decals today. Since I am doing mine in the tribal theme... I ordered two silver island tribal guys for each side on my pop-out windows.. and a silver tribal sun for the lower right of my back windshield. And that's IT I swear. LOL. I just love the tribal on my SSM. It looks good... especially with my chrome tribal sun license plate frames. :)

Okay, so I found this really cool magnetic paper from Office Max. I tried finding it on their website, but couldn't find it. I did find Walmart's website for it: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=3064699 I don't have the package with me, but this paper is definitely similar to the one I purchased.

So, I created my picture in Illustrator (Got Lime). I also added a picture my fiance wanted (Got Rice). Then I printed it out on my Cannon inkjet printer. Cut out the magnets, and Voila! I have a "sticker" that won't harm my paint! and i can trade it out whenever i want.

FAQs:

Will the ink run? My sticker made it through a rainstorm just fine
Will it stay on? If no one steals it. I made the same magnet earlier and after 2 days it was gone. Thought it fell off, but i'm wondering if someone stole it. I took a Superman Sticker and stuck it to the magnet for my fiance, and his stayed on even through a car wash. (but his is on the hood, so I'm sure that helps)

It's not ment to be offensive and yes, he is Asian. He is Japanese. I'm so very sorry if it offended you (or anyone else) :-? . I really didn't mean it that way.

But to be honest, every group is made fun of. I guess I just don't easily get offended by things because I've heard remarks about Texans being Rednecks, ride horses, and inbreed (I'm from Houston) etc... I know it's only in fun and I take it in stride, heck...ever watch King of the Hill.

Actually, the got rice sticker is also to make fun of "ricers". If you don't know what a ricer is, it is someone (usually a kid) who drives an import (or car he wishes was an import) and does stupid stuff to it like adding a 5 foot wing, or a muffler that my arm would fit into, or washer sprayers that lightup, but they actually have a POS car. I don't think it is meant to be insulting to asians, just ricers.

Kattoon, you are right. Texans do get there fair share of remarks and they do not offend me at all....I just think they are jealous they are not Texans:)

And I do agree that I am super sensitive about some things. I guess I want to "protect" my daughters from any form of racism I can even though I know in the real world they will be confronted with it and need the tools to deal with it on their own. Right now I am getting questions from them about why do kids pull their eyes in a slant or talk funny (Chinese) when they know we are Chinese?

Anyways, thanks for understanding and not bashing me for feeling this way. I'm really trying to not let things bother me as much but it's just going to take some time for me to learn to hold back and not say what I'm thinking:-| I certainly do not want to hurt anyones feelings just as I don't want mine hurt.

I think one thing to remember is that there is a difference between racism and stereotypes. (people seem to forget that these days) Racism is meant to hurt a certain person just because of their race. It is usually intended with malice. Whereas, stereotypes are making fun of a type of person (not a particular race) ie: techies/nerds - dark glasses, tape in the middle, pocket protector. Stereotypes aren't usually meant to be malicious. It is usually meant in humor. Heck..I'm a techie nerd (but I don't wear glasses with tape...) :D

another side note...went out to my car today...it was really humid outside..the magnet was rolling up on itself and almost fell off. (I guess the first one may have not gotten stolen). I'm thinking that mabye the magnet is just too thin..I'm going to try and print the Got Lime on a sticker and stick it to the magnet and see if that helps. First off, rocks. Blendeds give me brainfreeze cause I try to drink them too fast! Second, You're all mentioning brands and you need to mention what kind, within the brand. Some one said that they were going to get crap cause they like Sauza in their ritas. Well, Sauza makes some good tequila's too. Try the "Hornitos" for a very good, yet inexpensive tequila. ($25 a fifth) And if you're really into tequila, you've gotta find a copy of this book. I was lucky enough to find a copy at powells.com (Powells is local to PDX :) )

After putting some decals on and taking them all off again, I have decided to go the less is more route. I have none on my E and have even taking off the Element and Honda "H" badges. That's right, my E is naked! I think it looks NBP looks sweet without anything. Although, I'm sooooooo close to putting an EOC decal on. Just not sure if it would stay on very long. :neutral:

Since the EOC sticker is a die-cut (very nice tho) it can't be put on a magnet so I don't have one on my E. If there was one that was solid, or had just the web site address or was a cling and not a sticker I would put it on. I don't "do" permanent bumper stickers - yep, even my beloved "turtle" sticker is a magnet. Good thing too cuz they get pretty beat up and I like em to look new. I replace as needed.

Tango, if you want to get the EOC decal, it isn't 100% permanent. It's really easy to take off if you ever decided to (but why would you ?!? :D ). All you need is a hair dryer and a plastic puddy knife or your fingernail. Just heat up the decal and it sould come off pretty easily.

For those of you who like stickers, I highly recommend the club logo sticker for the back glass. ;) The image below is long, but the sticker is actually 5.25" x 2.13".

I found this older Honda Element sticker on eBay the other day. I bid, and won it for a few dollars. I think it's from the 04 model year, but know one seems to know for sure. It's not made for exterior use (bummer) so I'll have to find another place to stick it.

I thinks it's simply the best place for that decal. I would love to add other decals, but I can't come up with anything thats cool. I have an iPod, as well as both my kids, and wife which included a decal (sticker) of the Apple logo. I was going to stick at least one of them on my E, but I'm not sure if it will stand up to the weather. Plus I'm still a big-time PC user, and I don't want to mis-represent......you dig?

I guess decals should be viewed as a statment of one's personality, and not just the latest trend. If I find something that's way-wicked-cool, I'll post a picture.

Right rear window has Azonic (mountain bike components) and Galveston Island State Park. (first E road trip)
Left rear window has Kona (bicycle company), Jenson USA (online bike shop), and Harley-Davidson logo. (2005 XL1200R)
Rear Hatch Glass has a big Arsenal Football Club banner across the top (totally see-thru from the inside), and a Sum 41 sticker
above the windshield wiper. I also have an Arsenal 10 FA Cup Wins static cling on the inside.
On each rear window I also have a sticker on the bottom where it wraps around and is totally black, left side is the Comets logo from
my alma mater (UT-Dallas) and the right side is the old Arsenal shield.

The Current is Minnesota Public Radio's (you may have heard of them) "alternative" music. This is like a "grown up" college rock station. They play old music I like, new music I might like, lots of local that I may or may not like plus new and classic roots, folk, blues, jazz etc... They play very little music I can't stand (unlike almost every commercial station in this market) and no commercials (except for those 2 weeks a year). Basically they're my ipod with interesting (but not too much) color comentary. Some of the DJ's were friend of friends back in college, so there's that too.

I have the EOC sticker about the All Wheel drive sticker in the lower left corner. Upper left corner is Scottish American Military Society Logo. Upper right corner has my Masonic Logo. The rest are TBD. I hope to put at least two more.

So I don't usually put bumper stickers or decals on my cars. I find that I dislike the damage they tend to do over time. So I go with magnets that I can swap out frequently(clean outside and change keeps them from pitting the paint).

I don't understand the comparison to Hummers. If I wanted a crappy, overpriced, poseur car, I would've actually bought a Hummer!

I my opinion, sticking a Chinese-made "trinket" version of Old Glory on the body of my Japanese car is in poor taste...
