Any suggestions for removing hard water spots from the windshield? My drying process was interrupted for about 5 minutes. Now I have spots on the windshield that won't come off. I bought some McGuires hard water spot remover for boats for my husband. The bottle doesn't say anything about using or not using the product on glass. Has anyone tried this?

I have the same problem. Caused by my sprinkler system and the wind. Its on my paint too, which I've learned required at least 5-6 good car washes to remove (or claybar but I'm lazy). Try vinegar on the windows, watch the running excess so it doesn't touch your paint.

You can get glass polish from Griot's Garage and a few other online car care vendors (such as carcareonline.com) that will take the mineral deposits right off your glass.

Dilluted white vinegar and 0000 steel wool works best.

I work in a Cement plant and use Vineger and that works well on water spots.

I use a mixture of ammonia and water (1 to 6 ratio approx) and a Mr Clean magic eraser...works pretty good but some stubborn spots still remain. Haven't thought of using vinegar...I'll try that next car wash. Thx
