After several months of looking for a wheel and tire replacement I found a combo
that I like. My question is will this 15" combo work on the Element. My E is Ralley Red and the wheel is chrome with a matching red ring ( rim 15x7.5, bolt pattern 5x114) by Axis and the tire has a red ring by Diamondback (235/70/15)

Pretty sure that rim is made for RWD vehicles only! The ET would put those rims outside of your wheel well.

That is a bead locker rim. The red ring attaches to the bead around the tire so that it will not slip when air pressure is lowered for rock climbing or other offroad adventures. And as Haji said, its a RWD wheel and will have an impropper offset.

and even if you did manage to have it work...those tires would be way too small, it would look silly....theres a guy on here that managed 30(or maybe 31?) x 10.5 on a 15 inch wheel, no rubbing and it looked great

Ohh Mike that would be me!!!

And Mr ele ment that rim is bitchin! looks nice. But mike is right the off set would be way off and it would look like a midget with those small tires.
Also if your not sure if the wheels would fit. Call the dealer and ask them if the rims would fit your car. It’s the best way to know!

You want to see my wheels offset 35; I had a bigger spacer on this pictures. I purchased a thinner one and it looks great.

According to the AXIS web site those are fake bead locks. The site also talks about 'lip', apparently the distance from outter rim edge to the spokes. But how that translates into offset is unclear. You may have to contact Axis or one of their dealers to verify whether they would work.

As to tire size, 235/70/15 is quite close to the stock tires in overall diameter (closer than any than anything else with a 16" rim). You can even get the fabulous REVO in that size, with an overall diameter of 28" rather than 29" other people get. Admittedly that REVO does not have the cool color coded band. However the idea of choosing a tire and wheel combination because of color bands does not appeal to my practical way of thinking.

I would try a tire size of 225/75 for the 15"er's. BF Goodwench makes many different flavors to match those rims (not to sure about that off-set tho!).
