Yeah I agree, I feel that the contrasting panels are integral to the overall aesthetics of the Element, not too mention that the new colors seem a little ill-suited. The utility and looks of the contrasting panels are a major factor in my purchasing the Element in the first place. It seems that when you paint the panels the vehicle loses a lot of character and appeal.

Forget about the painted panels for a second. That ad seems to be showing 2 different Orange colors... is this correct? Or is the bottom color supposed to be Red?

I think the bottom pic is the new Tango Red Pearl (attached).

Cute ad, but they really need to get the elementandfriends.com site up and running before they go publishing that URL. The placeholder's cute 'n' all, but releasing the URL before the site's ready makes them look unprepared. Bad branding!

The interesting thing will be to see just how popular the P-trim option will be. Remember, the painted panels don't actually replace anything, it's just an optional model. I think Honda is going to try an push the visibility of the EX-P models/colors to see if the contrasting plastic panels were really having that much of an effect with turning buyers away. Will buyers be willing to pay the extra $$$ for what they perceive as better looking? Most other vehicles with an optional body color panels package comes with additional features included in the package. Such as spoilers, special wheels, leather or chrome details. I figred the EX-P would atleast be similar to the CRV-SE model with the added features.

Although I MUCH prefer my plastic panels, that Tango Red color is one amazing looking color. The others, not so much, kinda makes the element color scheme look like a rainbow or a bag of skittles. But damn, that red is fantastic.

. . . . . still take NBP over it anyday :-D

I think whoever chose the new colors is a big fan of Andy Warhol's "Che Guevara", these colors are also prevalent in other works of his.

Another thing that is nasty is the angle of the tires. It makes them look so damn narrow. They need to put some wider tires on the E's stock. Maybe 225/65/16 or even if 235/65/16 would fit. That's why I love my 18x8  Perfect width.

It seems to me they are trying to force the Element into it's original demographic, this time taking the "cute" approach.

BTW, Commies aren't cool....

I agree about the red. (Not about NPB, though. )

Very nice, rich color. Can't wait to see one in person.
