I just discovered a really good product for getting the plastic panels really clean. Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Professional Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner Conditioner #40.

What you say? That's not for plastic!

A couple of weeks ago I was detailing and accidentally got wax on the panels. Looked shabby. Then the dealership put my baby through the car wash, thanks but no thanks, now I had tons of residue streaks on the panels.

I also had some scratches on the back quarter panel so off to Schucks. They were super nice and let me pop a couple of products to try to get the stuff off.

The best stuff was this product. Using a circular motion and counter clockwise motion the scratches seemed to work themselves out. (light scratches) The wax disappeared instantly. The waterspots disappeared. A light buffing and the product happily removed itself leaving a dealership new shine.

And on the inside of the vehicle, it's just amazing!

I found this product on my wax shelf 3 weeks ago--can't remember when I bought it  --used it instead of my 303, didn't buff it as thoroughly as the 303, went thru rain etc., no streaking and still looks great. I highly recommend!

It rained yesterday and the area I had worked on, the rear right quarter panel actually looked wetter than the rest of the panels, so I'm gonna say, no to the streaking thing. Unless you are talking about streaking from car washes? This product has some sort of a dissolving agent in it so wax and stuff comes right off.

Ask a choosy Mom.. You know, since you mention it, what is up with people recommending peanut butter overnight on your car. Sorry but that is thee most stupidest thing I have ever heard! I guess if you need a quick fix, but doesn't anyone care that they are feeding their E something with hydrogenated oils?

You can get organic PB ya know. Even an E has to have some grinds once in a while. I still like Back to Black by Mothers. Kinda fitting in this forum eh?
