Does anyone know the dimensions of the arm rest with the extra storage from HandA ? In particular, I want to know if it is longer then the standard arm rest. With the lenght that it is now, my elbow barely catches just the end. Not much rest for my arm :(

The optional armrest is 13.75 in long by 7.75 in wide.

I have one, It's not a bad size. Much better than the stock one. I don't know why they just didn't make it a standard item. I'm sure in the long run it would have been just as cheap.

It is useful, but I feel they could have included a pair of cup holders in it.

can you get round the upgrade armrest easily?

I was thinking of getting one for extra storage, but on a recent trip my sister and mother decided to switch places while I was driving. Yeah - I know, unsafe, but you know it happens, especially when tending to kids in the backseat.

That's kind of a loaded question. Yes, i have gotten around it, but I'm 5' 10' and fairly nimble. The armrest does go up or down, so that may be of help but also it is removable by pressing one button. Getting around the optional armrest is possible, but a lot of it depends on one's personal dexterity.

The space between the seats with the larger armrest becomes fairly non-existent. You would most likely have to step over the armrest, but it could be done though with much more effort than the standard armrest.
