I bought my Element on April 26. After about 9 days, I noticed that the gas gauge was past empty, but I had just filled up 2 days before. Then I noticed that it didn't show what gear I was in. A couple days after that, I noticed that my mileage was gone. I took it in on Friday, and didn't get it back til Tuesday. They had to replace the whole console. I love my E, but this kinda ruined my new car honeymoon. Anyone else have this problem?

Bonus: the 250+ miles I had on it disappeared.

Wow, that's a new one to me. Sorry about your ruined honeymoon! Maybe you and the E could take a long road trip to make up for it! :wink:

I have 2500 miles on my 2WD EX and finally got more than 21MPG on a tank. I switched to 93 octane gas and this seems to have made a difference. Ironically this last tank of gas was driven with four people and gear in the little E?!?! My avearge MPG is 19.6 over the short life of my truck.
