Okay I need to know if I am the only one having this problem....I have owned my E for less than two months (purchased 3/31/03), and I already have over 3000 miles on my baby E.....at this rate I will average 18,000 miles a year and when my car is paid off I will have 90,000 miles! My 10 year old car that I traded in for my E only had 108,000 miles on it! My husband's 13 year old civic only has 153,000.....

I love driving my E....I offer to drive whenever there is an outing with friends, I have made two road trips to Chicago (a very boring drive that I used to try to avoid having to make)....I know others have expressed that the joy of driving is back, and that they just go for drives...make up any excuse to have to go out...etc.....but tell me owners with more than 2 months of ownership....does this need to drive disapate????

Also.....is anyone else not allowing there spouse to drive the E??? I mean I let my hubby drive it occasionaly, but I think he is a crazy driver and I am worried about my baby E! Am I crazy? Luckily for me my husband puts up with my insanity

Oh, Diane, I've got it bad too! I've turned into one of those people who parks way out in the parking lot so I'm not next to anyone. I used to really rib my husband about doing that, and now I'm doing it too!!

I've had mine about 18 days, and I've got 1600 miles on it. I do not want to think what I'll have in a year if I keep going at this rate!

But it is such fun to drive. And I love showing it off and answering questions about my Orange Box.

(And, no, my husband hasn't driven it yet. 8) )

Kristi...

My Husband didn't drive my E until we had owned it for 3 weeks....it actually got so bad that he was complaining to every family memeber of mine at Easter! So I let him drive part of the way home from Chicago to St. Louis.

I also made fun of my mother in law for parking her Avalon way out at the ends of the parking lot.....but I must confess I park as far away from other cars as possible.....the funny thing is that no matter how far out I park I will come back out to my E to discover that there are almost always two cars parked on either side of me and no where else!

I hope this feeling starts to disapate.....because I really need to slow down on the mileage!!!

If you guys going to keep the E and not trade it in, why bother counting the miles. I got mines at 3/29 and have 1800 miles on it. The rate i am going, i'm going to be well over 16K a year! So everyone, enjoy your EEEEEEEEEEEE :D
