I installed my shock covers today - small plastic covers for the bolt on the shocks - when I noticed that my cathode has a red cover and my anode is missing what I would expect to be a black cover. I suspect it was removed by the dealer to put in my e-ccessories, and never put back in.

Can someone lift their hood and check to see if they have a blck cover on the anode, please?

yeah you can touch the negative terminal without a getting shocked. and you have to unhook the terminal to do anything electrical anyway, so no point to a cover, I guess.

Thanks guys. That saves me a conversation with the dealer. I think I would prefer a cover to cut down on the corrosion at the anode, tho. :?

It would be rare to find a car with a cover on the black post.
This is the negative terminal, if you trace this wire, you'll
find that it's just bolted to the frame of the vehicle!
Hence no need for protection, touching it, is the same as touching
the frame or anything metal bolted to it.
A cover would have no factor in preventing corrosion.
But the red + terminal on the other hand.....
