: How much do you dilute your Aerospace 303 cleaner?

From reading the forums I picked up a bottle of the Aerospace 303 cleaner and a bottle of the protectant. Upon further reading of the directions on the cleaner it looks like I'm supposed to dilute the cleaner with water before using.

First of all, what's the point of selling the cleaner in this nice spray bottle if I'm supposed to dilute it first and put it into another spray bottle to use it?

That being said, I want to use this on the inside of my E to clean the plastic. What should I dilute it to, and has anybody just used it full strenght?

I use Back to Black from mothers both in the inside and out usually about once a month. It lasts a long time and it looks great. There is nothing to Dilute and a little goes a long way.

I only use 303 on the interior, and never even heard of diluting it...use Mothers on the exterior.

I use 303 on both interior and exterior, undiluted. but i do usually spray it onto a rag for finer appication. straight on for big pieces.

Since it is super-concentrated, 303 Aerospace Cleaner is typically used at dilutions of 10-1 to 200-1 & greater, depending on the task at hand - see the product label for more information. Yet this new-technology product is perfectly safe to use full strength as a hand cleaner (safe, but wasteful). Super-concentrated, and super-safe, 303 Aerospace Cleaner exceeds EPA standards for biodegradablity.

I tried it full strenght last night, but sprayed it onto a rag instead of directly on the plastic. Seemed to do an all right job. I probably should have used soap and water first.

I don't know what the kids have on their hands when they touch the gray plastic trim on the dash, but there are fingerprints all over that I can't seem to get out no matter what I use!

I guess I'll just have to accept the fact that I'll be replacing some trim pieces after the kids leave the house and the E is kid free!

oops, my mistake! i didn't know that a seperate "303 cleaner" product existed.

i only use the protectant, and use it undiluted, as the label says:

Application:
Spray on, wetting the surface with 303. Wipe COMPLETELY dry. Turn cloth over to a dry area (or use a second clean, dry, absorbent cloth) and polish to remove any and all excess. Following these simple instructions.getting the surface wet (not just damp) with 303, then wiping COMPLETELY dry.will give you a beautiful, like-new finish that repels soiling and stains and LASTS LONGER.

I bought both the cleaner and the protectant. So far I'm really impressed with the protectant, but not so much so with the cleaner. Even after using the cleaner undiluted I still couldn't get some marks and dirt off my plastic.

When I have time again I'll use soap and water first, then try the cleaner.

On the textured plastic you might need a soft brush to get the dirt out of the hollows.
