Woke up this morning to 15 - 20cm of Snow up here in Winterpeg Canada. Looked out the window and my neighbour was stuck on his drive way. Fortunately I had some extra time to go dig him out. After I was done he asked If wanted help digging out my drive way. This was slight hesitation on my part and I said no. He said he would wait to see If was going to make it out. Started the E and it performed like a Champ cutting through the snow like butta. First time I ever owned a AWD vehicle and I will never go back to 2W drive again. Matter of fact after few minutes into my drive I went looking for deep snow....he he. The stock tires performed better than I thought, but will be eventually replaced with NOKIANS.

I've got Nokian Hakka SUV's mounted on some black steelies and even with the new Goodyears it will be like night and day between driving in the snow with the all seasons and driving with the snows.

Hey Funktional,

What tire size did you get? And if don't mind me asking how much should I be expecting to pay for these tires.

I do find the stock tires do slip a little if I am heavy on the pedal, but I am happy with stock tires for now.

Just curious to know where you are from?

I have the Nokian Hakka SUV (New tread design) in a 215-70-16. I paid $116 (US$) per tire installed but I get a discount at the place since the company I work for gets all their vehicles serviced there. I've heard others paying more like $150 per tire installed and higher though. I live in Vermont.

That is a good deal! I paid $139 each (incl. tax and shipping) from Tire Factory, plus $65 for local mounting & balance. My Hakka SUVs are 225/70-16, no studs. Link (http://www.tirefactory.net/Hakkapelitta%20SUV.htm)

JETT -

Just had the Nokian Hakka SUV 215-70-16 installed here in Ottawa for CA167 each. They are MEAN lookin! Especially on black steelies with my MM...

Hasn't snowed here yet, but they stick pretty good in all the rain we've been having...

Funds prevent me from getting them this year but thanks for the info guys. You can always count on fellow E members for help.

My Geolanders worked very well yesterday on icy roads. We had our first snow and everything is iced up on the secondary roads around here. No problems. I just took it a little slower than normal, but not that much slower, and got around fine.
