Hey,
Anyone ever changed a radiator b4? Doesn't have to be the E's. Reason being I'm upgrading my Cherokee's which has the infamous "Puegout (sp.?) closed system w/o a radiator cap to an open system that has the radiator cap. Much easier to fill and maintain; not to mention getting all the excess air out.
Well, I recently found some time (I ordered the new radiator and parts during the Summer and they've been sitting in the garage) to attempt this. Upon opening the box is a Brand-New GDI 3-Core Aluminum Radiator (old one is 1-Core). I noticed inside the Radiator Neck appeared to be greenish powder at first I thought isn't this supposed to be new? Then, I'm thinking maybe the Copper neck oxidized somewhat and turned green like the Statue of Liberty?
But, I'm not certain if it is Oxidation (copper turning green). Thoughts?

btw, haven't finished the job yet still pulling out the old one and have to rerout and redo the plumbing since this is an open system and not closed.
