I am about to get a 2006, which has the built in XM and I-pod jack. I was going to be happy with this, but have been reading about adding navi, and maybe DVD for movies on this forum, and got all excited...

Newbie question: since the 2006 has this mp3 capability built in, does that change any of my choices for add on components?

I was thinking:
Pioneer D-1 monitor to give me navi touch screen
Whatever pioneer box in the back for the GPS DVD's
Overhead screen add-on for the kids' movies in the back
Assume pioneer GPS DVD player also plays the movies?
If so, do you have to climb in the back to change them?

WHAT IF: instead of a DVd-based movie system, I buy an Ipod and download my movies on that? Does that eliminate having to purchase any components? Does adding the Pioneer D1 screen remove the OED Ipod capability? Are there any MP3 -basede navi systems which could tie into something like the D1 screen, which would eliminate the need for any DVD player boxes?

Sorry if I'm missing something obvious here, but I'm trying to get my arms around technology that I don't really understand!
