For those who may not have noticed, the EOC is taking orders for club stickers and T's. Seeing as we are in Canada and they are only accepting cheques we are asked to place a bulk order through Kim (TheLusciousHellcat) using Paypal or we can pay via cheque once we know the totals.

Here is a link to the thread http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1974&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

I know these stickers would make member spotting plenty more enjoyable.

I'm in for 2 stickers and a T

I'm happy to help out. It's not a lot of work, really, and the EOC forums have brought me so much good information, and the pleasure of the company of a lot of nice people. I figure it's a small thing to do to repay good karma.

The way I anticipate this will go is as follows.

(1) Tom will convert US $ to Canadian $ for the shirt and sticker prices, and also let you know what he will need as far as international postage.

(2) I will figure out the exact $, in Canadian $, of Paypal fees I will be assesed, per shirt, or per sticker. You add that to your purchase total so I don't eat those fees. Paypal charges 2.7% fee for purchases and like .5% for conversion to US $. If paid by cheque, my bank will also charge a fee for conversion.

(3) You email me with what you want and pay me, via PayPal or by Canadian $ cheque.

(4) I convert your Canadian $ payment into US $ and deposit it to my bank account.

(5) I write a check for the amount due to Tom, with a note about your order, and mail it.

(6) Tom gets it and fills the order and you get your good stuff! Yay!

I hope I explained that clearly. I'll just slap it all in a spreadsheet. It won't be a lot of bother at all.

I also would like to note - while a 'bulk order' would be very convenient, it's not strictly necessary. I'm not going to bar anyone from making a purchase because they didn't make a deadline.

I'm sure this will happen soon. Please feel free to email me and/or Tom if you have questions or suggestions.

So let's see here. I'm talking about cheques here because I don't use PayPal. So you, TheLusciousHellcat, take our Canadian orders and convert the cost in American dollars to Canadian dollars. Would we make the cheque out in Canadian dollars and send it to you with an order?
Then the merchandise will be delivered to you and then you send it to us, right?
It sounds like a pretty good plan. I just wish I had money and a chequing account.

Sorry gang... things have been hectic at home recently and I just got back in town. I will find out on Tuesday how much it will cost for shipping and then we'll have some final numbers to give out to you.

I tried my best to get some stickers up in time for the meet, but we were about 2 days too late. It would have cost me about 25 us dollars just to ship them.

Thanks for your patience. Stand by....

The meet was great and we appreciate the effort in trying to get them here on time. $25.00 is a bit steep and would not have expected you to pay for that.

Everyone wants them though.

Thanks Tom

:? With the ever-changing exchange rate...what rate will you be using?

And as for shipping to Canada...has anyone looked into costs of customs and duty fees?

I wonder if they ship through regular mail (person to person) if they'll check at customs? I can't imagine a sticker costing anything at customs, maybe even the shirt.

Yes, if you don't want to use Paypal and do want to use a Canadian cheque, we can do that, and I'll include what my bank charges me to convert from Canadian $.

I will not be mailing your order to you. I'm just the middle-Hellcat for ease of ordering purposes.

I'll take your order, run your Canadian $ through my bank account, and send your request for merchandise, and your payment in American $, to our Fearless Leader T Mac. Tom then fills your order and mails it.

We're only waiting for Tom to tell us how much to include for International Postage.

Now that I have a Canadian friend who wants to pay by cheque, I'll also ring up my bank and see about those fees. I already ascertained the Paypal fees.

So, very soon we will be Up and Running. Vrrrrroooom!
