This morning my fiance woke me up and told me to look outside. When I looked it was a field of white. I have heard Es are great in teh snow, so now I get togo test it, on the way to the sledding hill.

We've got 60 and sunny - and very windy (another SoCal fall Santa Ana wind event).

I'd rather have the snow - I hate the wind!

I second the wind being lame bit! I live in socal too, but I heard the waves are great today due to the offshore winds!

Snow is predicted for tonight into Tuesday moring, which means that all of the supermarkets will be packed with people stocking up on milk, bread and eggs. :x

Yeah, like we're going to be snowed in till June 2006.

We had our snow last week, the earliest I recall since moving to the Northwest. Seattle didn't get much (not much that stuck, anyway), which is a good thing. Seattle drivers instantly get into collisions if they even hear the word snow. Out here on the lake, however, we had 2-3 inches last Tuesday and another 5-6 Thursday night/Friday. There's still prob'ly 2 inches on the ground, though it's likely to melt or get rained off today. So beautiful, though!

Had snow this morning. First time taking the E out in the white stuff and it handled unbelievably. I heard they were good in snow, but it was amazing. I was purposely trying to spin the car out but was unsuccessful. Awesome in snow.

A few reasons I love my E on snowy days
1-I don't have to shovel out my car to pull out of the driveway
2-I don't have to ride in the one "clear" lane on the road
3-I don't have to worry about finding a parking space when the streets haven't been cleared
4-I can still get in my driveway when the snow plow has come by and "plowed it in"
5-With my plastic side panels, I'm not concerned about getting "dinged" by chunks of snow/ice
6-One of the most important things- when the snow melts off my boots, it doesn't soak into the carpet which results in that "musty" smell-HA!!!

Power to the E-we were out in full force on this snowy day!!

The only place snow belongs is in the mountains, but within a nice 4 hour drive.

Then again... I'm from LA... we don't even have "seasons" here!

We got hit hard today. My fiances civic got stuck in the parking lot. I took her to work in the E, because the roads weren't even plowed yet. That thing went through the snow like there was nothing on the road. The E was even able to climb a very steep snow covered unplowed hill without any hestitation or slippage.

It began to snow overnight here in eastern Long Island, and by the time morning arrived, it was raining. By 9:00AM it was coming down in buckets. If the rain wasn't bad enough, I had to go out to a couple of new home sites and slog through all the slimy mud with my E. After the rain, the ferocious winds came and blew my Element all over the highway. Yeah, snow might have been better.:|

Richmond actually got one of the earliest snowfalls with accumulation that I can recall (we typically get it in Jan/Feb...IF AT ALL)....we got about 4-5 inches in my area of Richmond back on Monday....we were threatened with more this past Thursday/Friday, but it never came...I grew up mostly in Pittsburgh, so I'm used to driving in and living with big snowfall amounts (6 inches or more)...but damn if some of these Richmond people don't act a complete fool when there's even an inch of snow on the ground. If it sticks to the roads, forget about it!!!!! And some of you are right...toilet paper, milk, and bread...all gone before the snow even hit the other night:x WHY!?!?!?!??! I don't get it....for some reason, they think that snow is going to:

A.) Make them go to the bathroom more
B.) Kill off the cow supply and cause a milk shortage
C.) Make them have the sudden urge to make 15 loaves of bread worth of sammiches!!!!

No sh*t...I saw a guy at the grocery store with about 10 loaves of bread in his cart the night it started snowing....all I had was a pack of oreos, some Capt. Crunch, one half gallon of milk, and a 12 pack of Budweiser (you know, the essentials) After that kind of eating, I could have used the extra toilet paper, but refer to letter A.

I thought invading food stores at the mere mention of snow was a southern thing. You mean they do it up north too? When it does snow here (mountains of western NC), there's an unpaved (and usually unplowed) state highway that goes over a 5000ft ridge that's fun to play on.

LOL, Richmond VA is THE South:D You know, capital of the Confederacy and all during the Civil War:D

That unpaved stuff sounds kind of fun though:shock:

Oh yeah...the media has everyone so tightly wound that the mere mention of snow sends people out in droves to the nearest supermarket.
