Just wondering how everyone else did/is doing with insurance on their Es. My insurance guy has to calculate out the rates - guess the E is still too new for them. Did anyone get a really good deal?

I don't think there is such a thing as a good deal on insurance anymore. They are all using 911 as an excuse for huge increases.

Considering that you can replace the plastic front components for less than $400.cdn you would thing the rates would reflect that.

I'm paying $1700 a year with a good record.

I am paying a bit more than that ... they rise it up for the fact I drive to and from work every day to a tune of 75 km.

mine went up about $800.00. I think it's about $2300.

Just picked up my messages and the quote is $2200. Seems in line since I'm living in Toronto and driving 70km each way to work.... :roll: ...was kinda hoping those old high school driving classes would give me a bit more of a discount...lol

We got the same, $1700. Remeber it depends where you live too! We're in Markham...

For two drivers the high mileage paperman pays $1800. I thought that was a lot...but guess not considering what some of you in the GTA are paying

My advice...figure out a way to get an office at home...then you can legally and honestly tell them you drive 0 km to work...done it for 20 years or so.

I found that Motors Insurance (A GM company :lol: ) offered me a much better rate that the Personal who is IBM's group carrier. It is worth it to shop around.

My inusurance jumped up $400 over my integra..That was with having a clean record.Seems everytime i change vehicles they have an excuse to raise it.

I'm in Ottawa. I'll be paying $1608, but I could lower it to 1400 if I took a higher deductible and dropped some options. The rep is calling me back to let me know what my credits will be for the ignition bypass feature (about $40). He also said the E has been approved as a 5star front and side impact vehicle and that will lower the price again.

$550 every six months, multi-car, and safe driver discounts from Geico.

487 every six months with multi-discount, good driver, no accident 6 yrs+ from Costco Amex auto insurance (accessible through the Coscto site). That's with $500 collision/$100 comprehensive deductables on 100/300/100.

Sad thing is that with my Saturn added it's $602 for six months. Once I sell it my rate for the Element only will be $607 since I'll lose the multi-car discount. The Cosco plan was less than everyone else I priced by a good margin.

Got mine at TD insurance. ~$1800 cdn/year (married, 34, live/work downtown but don't drive to work, and haven't driven for the past 5 years). Their website offers an online quote depending on your profile. Got my inurance set up within 40 minutes after coming home from the dealership.

With the LARGE shopping carts they give you to push through the parking lot, they should at least offer dent/scratch insurance! :D
