: "Waste of bandwidth" Awards Poll
Genom 12-08-2005, 09:14 PM Here it is folks...the official "Waste of Bandwidth" awards poll:shock:
Okay, other than this (and some of my other posts over the past 18 months) which of the following are the most redundant, and bandwidth-wasting, recurring threads here on the EOC? I'm listing what I think is the top five cheesiest, most recurring themes in threads. Whats to win? nothing! I haven't got any dust-collecting statue or other chotchky to hand out...so just vote for the fun of it.
Anyone who is guilty of starting such threads and is offended by this:TFB:x
spdrcr5 12-08-2005, 09:17 PM I refuse to vote until you create a thread that actually has something to vote for and you spell cheesiest properly. :)
Genom 12-08-2005, 09:20 PM Damn you...you started while I was still editing!
Most of my posts and Threads have been pretty lame. But I'll nominate "Where's the 6 cylinder". and anyone who thinks this will happen on redesign is nuts. I really don't think there will be a redesign and the Element will be gone as a new car in 07 or 08.
Heck, now the poll is up and my nominee isn't listed. I feel like a Democrat!
Tim Vance 12-08-2005, 10:33 PM I vote for any poll posted by Genom:lol:
Junebug 12-08-2005, 10:59 PM I voted for what I feel is the most tiresome ... 3rd rear seat.
Empire 12-08-2005, 11:06 PM Well, you forgot a few like:
The "I hear a rear clunk noise" thread.
The "My Maintence Required light is flashing, what do I do?" thread.
The "Will this tire fit?" thread.
Tessa Y 12-09-2005, 01:03 AM Now you all forgot about the "Has the windshield problem been fixed yet" threads.
Yup, definetly forgot the tire size threads...
SuperJETT 12-09-2005, 07:04 AM Man those were hard to choose between, but went with the 3rd rear seat and it appears a lot of others did too.
Dom.five 12-09-2005, 07:21 AM I'm with you !! If I needed a 3rd rear seat I would not have looked at an E ..
Funktional 12-09-2005, 07:22 AM I had to go with the My Element is better than that POS xB thread. That type of thread can seriously show how ignorant some E owners can be.
Can't all the boxes just get along?
Tarpon Shawn 12-09-2005, 07:28 AM I would vote, but I need to go outside and hose out my interior. I just got back from some serious off roading.
wankerklink 12-09-2005, 07:59 AM I would vote, but I need to go outside and hose out my interior. I just got back from some serious off roading.
Right, just make sure the E is parked on a down angle and the hose nozzle set on high and the water will flow right out the rear.
P.S. For those " not in the know ", I'm just kidding.
ramblerdan 12-09-2005, 09:32 AM This one's not a topic, but a common useless post: "I don't have that problem; there must be something wrong with you."

That's the truth. I don't need someone I don't know telling me there's something wrong with me.
I'm married, so I got a wife to tell me that stuff.
valkokir 12-09-2005, 09:43 AM This is by far the best poll ever! and by far the biggest collective waste of bandwidth!! *Applause*
It was a real brain bender as they are all good options.

Other useless responses
1. You are having a problem with your E? You must be a troll.
2. Do your search.
3. I am totally happy with my E. It is flawless. I don't agree with any complaints about anything on the E.

Ummm, yeah. Uh John, if you would have searched you would have seen where many others have already listed those.
RTFM.
:D
DOGBOX 12-09-2005, 11:58 AM No man, it's the just-started "Who's smarter, cats or dogs" thread.
Geez....
ramblerdan 12-09-2005, 12:47 PM Let's not forget the eternal Mac-vs.-PC debate.
jbarco 12-09-2005, 01:28 PM I can't believe nobody's mentioned the fairly repetitive "Does anybody make a (3-6", fill in the blank) lift kit for the Element yet? I want to put a lift kit and 35" tires on mine. Will they rub? And will it effect gas mileage"?
JB
Empire 12-09-2005, 02:45 PM I can't believe nobody's mentioned the fairly repetitive "Does anybody make a (3-6", fill in the blank) lift kit for the Element yet? I want to put a lift kit and 35" tires on mine. Well they rub? Any will it effect gas mileage"?
JB
You're right, that's a good one also.
I nominate the "peeing in the shower" thread.
:)
pxpaulx 12-09-2005, 03:43 PM i can't believe no one has mentioned any variations of the following:
- how to get best mileage in the E
- MPG EPA estimates - not always accurate!
and my personal favorite...
- 32.7 MPG!!!!!!!!!!!
trickyvick 12-09-2005, 08:57 PM Well, you forgot a few like:
The "Will this tire fit?" thread.
Don't forget the air-pressure/the stock tires suck threads.
TaILoIN 12-09-2005, 09:03 PM great thread...by the way i was intrested in putting a light that comes on when the AWD is engaged. Anybody know how I can do that? :-D
Genom 12-09-2005, 09:03 PM This thread is starting to look like required reading for new members.:D
Oh! Oh! How about the Element drives okay in the snow! Geez, it drives great in the snow. No more new Threads please.:)

Hey did anyone mention the I just got my E thread yet? I know people that just join like that one. Shouldn't there be a Heading for this or something?
Empire 12-10-2005, 12:31 AM How about any thread that contains pictures of Bob's nipples.
I know there's like 3 or 4 floating around. (threads not nipples........I think)
:D
trickyvick 12-10-2005, 12:32 AM great thread...by the way i was intrested in putting a light that comes on when the AWD is engaged. Anybody know how I can do that? :-D
You know, that would be ok...but all joking aside, there is a guy over on the HCF forum that said he put a V-TEC light on his dash....tapped into his computer and the light comes on when the V-TEC kicks in.....I would LOVE that one!
kissya 12-10-2005, 09:04 AM How about any thread that contains pictures of Bob's nipples.

kissya 12-10-2005, 09:21 AM :D Maybe a case of nipple envy??
outpost4 12-10-2005, 09:38 AM What? No Mobile Electronics nominations?

bobhch/hchbob 12-10-2005, 09:56 AM What? No Mobile Electronics nominations?
BTW, does anybody know why my seat rocks?
Yeah I do. That is because you have a Rocking Stereo system Outpost! What did you forget or something?:? Rock on.:)
trickyvick 05-04-2006, 10:00 PM I still say we need to add the "What Tire Size Fits the Element"....maybe some others.
kissya 05-04-2006, 10:43 PM We could always talk about Spam.......:-P
Tim Vance 05-05-2006, 12:36 PM Or, how about: How long does a thread have to lie dormant before someone sucks it back to life....
kissya 05-05-2006, 12:38 PM People should learn to leave dead things ......alone.
heishin2 05-05-2006, 02:24 PM Bwahaha! Yeah! Or else something else rises from it!
