OP you pointed out the correct part... I would call either H&A or Majestic and order the part... or get it from your own dealer.

^ If this post makes no sense, it is my fault.

My apologies, Larry. After I made my relpy in this thread, I saw that deckeda had answered the question in another, identical thread also started by JimiV, so I deleted mine. That must have been seconds before you made your post. Sorry to hang you out like that.

I did this. I ordered the OEM storage bin after using the METRA one.

And I instantly took it out because it still doesnt sit as flush as I thought it would. I actually have my METRA back in now and turned upside down so my stereo is closer to arm level (I was also having problems with my remote IR signal bouncing off the plastic of the angle when its on top).

It's a cheap piece (I think I paid like 15 for it. It's just a storage bin that you use your two mounting brackets for your OEM stereo) and might be worth the effort to try it, but I was not impressed with the look once it was done. There were gaps in between the bottom of my stereo and the storage bin (enough for 2 stacked cd's to fit through), and it sat behind the grey facace that covers the screws instead of flushing right up to it. I wish there was a better option than the METRA, because I am not a fan either, but I didnt find the OEM to be any better (in fact, worse) than the METra kit.

I used the OEM pocket with my Alpine. I just filed out 2 of the mounting bracket holes that hold it to the HU and it fit perfectly.

Very solid.
