I just picked up a 06 silver with blue panels.
What are people using to keep the blue plastic looking new?

I would use the same thing I use for black / grey panels... 303 Aerospace Protectant.

Back To Black, in spite of the name, is not color specific. It's white...looks like sour cream.

Hi there.

I have a '05 SSM w/ Blue Panels and I use 303 Aerospace Protectant. This stuff is great. It protects the panels from fading (UV Protection) and it will not make the panels greasy or too shiny. It is also very easy to use.

I love the 303, but only use it on the interior. A couple of more durable options are black again and poorboy's trim restorer. Both of those have the bonus of removing stray wax from the plastic.

I preach the powers of vegetable or canola oil again... :D

I used some Turtle Wax product similar to Armor-All called F21. It makes the panels look good and not to artificially shiny. Problem with this type of product (most are silicone based spray) is that it runs down onto the paint when it gets wet, as in rain, and looks streaky on the paint. Easy to wipe off but silicone is really not good for paint. I use only pure carnauba wax. Problem is finding it (such as Mother's) because most stores carry the blended waxes (silicones, polymers and carnauba etc.) which are easier to put on and take off. May just have to order direct. I read on this thread somewhere that Murphy's oil soap is good for cleaning the plastic but probably doesn't leave a protective film. crackerjax :) :-D
