I tried searching around the CA forum some, but didn't find much information. After reading everything in the mobile electronics section on what to look for in a headunit and what is needed to use the stock subwoofer and amp, I was curious if anyone had suggestions for a car audio installer in the LA/OC area that did great work for them. I actually live here in Phillips Ranch next to Pomona near the 57 and 60. Kinda looking to get a new headunit as a Christmas gift to myself.. haha.
Thanks!

Thanks for the response. It's a little bit of a drive unfortunately, but wonderful to hear about installers who know what they are doing and get things right.

If you need any stereo/electrical work, that is what I do. I am in Riverside. I also do steering wheel and wiper mods

AutoSound Specialists in Westminster. They are reasonable in pricing and do great work. Award winning installers, no joke. 714-891-8779 is their phone number.
They are now experts on Element installations .

Call steve at AutoSound Specialists to get a quote and tell him Joe with the element sent you. They are not pushy and will not try to sell you stuff you will not need.
As far as my steering wheel controls, I have a Pioneer Remote control mounted on the steering wheel that controls both the radio and the Nav system. Its a $40 upgrade and took literaly one minute to install. Ill post pics when I have more time.

Great information to start looking around. I think I am going to start off with speakers and then move onto a headunit a little later. Do any of these places have a decent speaker selection (i.e. some of the ones mentioned here like Infinitys, Polks, MB Quarts, Kicker, etc.) with a setup to compare them all? I am looking at some Infinity components, but Circuit City doesn't quite have the selection for the higher end component systems...
