Look here to see all the new Washington license plates coming out on 1/3.

Pretty neat!

Too bad they won't let you make your own design. I know the post office is allowing people to put their own pictures/logos/art on bar code stamps.

Here's what I would do...

Right on, SamIam! The GGM looks very cool on that plate. Now, how 'bout an SOP in front of a massive orange sunset, and a MM at the ocean on an extremely overcast, dark grey day!

I went in to buy a plate yesterday, this is what I wanted, but was disapointed to find out you can't have both a "special plate" and a "customized plate" its either/or:

So which one did you end up with?

It was a hard choice. I love cycling, but I wanted the name of the car to be on the plate.

I went with QBERT on a plain plate. I'll post a picture when I get the plates. Can't believe QBERT wasn't take. woot

I felt the same way about BEATBOX! Still can't believe it wasn't already taken!:D

I noticed your BEATBOX in other threads, that's a nice grab

Right on, QBERT will be a good one. I don't have a specialty plate, just a license plate frame ID'ing my college ... the other half might get one when her Mini comes in though. These cool cars almost beg for something special!

Yeah, we don't have a manufacture date yet, but she's in the mix somewhere ... hopefully before Summer. She's going to get a British Racing Green regular ol' Mini with a black top/side mirrors, and automatic. No convertible, no S, but just what she wants (except maybe the automatic, but I wanna drive the thing too!).

She still doesn't seem to be a junkie about the Mini as much as I am about the Element, but her time is coming I'm sure ... mixing her Kool-Aid now ... heh heh heh.

Hey Beaker - I dig that picture of you with your E - was it taken at dusk?

Beatbox - good to see ya around the forum again!

thanks, it was taken 9:50PM (3 hours after sunset), it's was a 15 second exposure, my armature attempt at being artsy fartsy

I took a couple tries at the same idea:

Very cool - I can imagine you setting the camera, pressing the button, running over, and then repeating "stand ... very ... still ..." for 15 seconds. haha. Nice job! I enjoy taking pictures, too, but have only dorked around in a dark room with pen lights to try out the long exposures (don't anyone take that in a funny way!). I like the effect you got that way. You should make sure and see Shen's pics in his friend's Murano here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20038&highlight=murano). You'll like his pics for sure.

hehe, yeah, that's exactly what I did. I would have used the preview screen, but it was so dark, I had to guess what I was pointing at.

Shen's pictures are great! I need to try that with the E somehow.
