I just installed a Ten Technology Ipod FlexDock in my E. Its now working fine, but I want to get rid of the coil of iPod white aux cable on my dash shelf. I only need about a 6" long cable from the base of the dock to the aux port and found this:

Cardas 6 inch Mini to Mini cable

It also comes in 12" length. $14 is not bargain, but..short of making my own cable, anyone know of any other sources?

I bought my 12" cable for my iPod off eBay before the summer. I have it coiled sitting under the MP3 port connected to my Belkin. It cost me under $8 shipped. Don't remember who I bought it from, but I searched eBay looking for the cable for a while until I ran across it.

Make certain to get a cable with the ends set to 90*, just gives a cleaner look and takes up less room... to me. :)

I got this one of of Tigerdirect.com. Pretty good for keeping the clutter to a minimum and also useful if a rear passenger wants to play dj for a while, you are not limited to 6". Pretty cheap to at $8.99.

Larry and Nitz,

Thanks for the tips. :) The retractable backseat driver cord is especially good!

Ebay keywords that usually work to find these cables: Honda Element aux audio cable.
