Does Keyless entry open the clam shell door? My dealre gave me the CRV keyless entry because she said the Elements was on back order! CRV's Keless entry hasa button for the back door but it does not work! Does the original for Element opens the back door? Hasa button for that?
Thanks
Todd

If you push the button twice within 30 seconds it unlocks all doors including the clamshell. Doesn't open it like a trunk release - just unlocks it.

I'm afraid not. The Element remote has buttons for panic, lock and unlock only.

But the keyless does unlock the back.

So did I get shortcchanged because the dealer installed CRVs keyless entry?

My thought would be yes, if your remote doesn't unlock the rear. It supposed to do it.
Does that mean your remote won't lock your rear door either? If that's the case, you've definitely not got what you paid for!

In my opinion your thing is ok.
The E doesn't have a trunk release but it doe luck and unlock at the same time as the front doors.
The crv is different since the back door open from the side and the release works on the small window only.
The door itself lock and unlock like all the doors.
The only thing is that you have a button on your remote that doesn't do anything, but it's not a big concern.
