... exactly how difficult is it to install your own tweeters?


Removing the pillar piece looks pretty troubling.

I've installed speakers and HUs in a couple cars now... so, do you think I'll be able to do the tweeters in my E?


(and where do you put the crossovers??? or do you just not use it???)

Removing the A pillar garnish is actually real easy. Just grab them at the top where they meet the headliner and pull away. The funky part of reinstallation is the rubber trim along the door opening which you will need a guitar pick or credit card to get the rubber on top of the garnish to trap it.

Once behind the pillar garnish, you'll find a good deal of space to work with, plus a gap between the dash and body to snake the wiring through.

I wish I could offer more help on the tweeters and crossovers, but I haven't installed them in my E.
