rhythm_ace 01-20-2006, 04:02 PM Sweet ride!
David McDavid, eh? How were they to deal with? They're closest to me and I will probably be getting service there.
tango 01-20-2006, 04:16 PM We dealt with the one in Frisco (121 & Tollway). We got a GREAT deal, but only because DH got fed up with the pushy sales people and INSISTED on dealing with the GM of the dealership.
Don't know about service...yet - they did do a great job detailing the E tho - maybe because the head honcho's name was on the order? Will report on service when I have tried it - we will use this dealer for service so long as they treat us right.
Sweet ride!

Looks nice.
I saw one in person yesterday at my local dealer. I am not sure if it was 2 or 4, auto or 5 spd, but it was glowing.:)

kalinka 01-20-2006, 07:01 PM Wow it really DOES glow!!! Pretty cool, but the big question is .. do you keep finding reasons to go out and drive it? Like does a sudden urge hit you for smart food popcorn and you have to go out and get it? I had many excuses do leave the house for the few days that I had one.
The people at the green market were begining to think I was nuts.... "well I forgot the shallots" was my constant excuse. Can't wait to hear your feed back on your first week driving it.

jdiane 01-20-2006, 07:24 PM Sweeet!!! I saw one at a local dealer and liked it. But i am really impressed by the dark interior-- looks great! :)
tango 01-20-2006, 07:25 PM I alternate between driving it for no reason and looking at it from my 2nd story office window :D
Will dutifully report on the 1st week of "The E" including the installation of all my after-market goodies

hiker chick 01-20-2006, 08:04 PM That is a stunning color. Am curious to see the stats after a year of the painted panels being on the market.
:)
tango 01-23-2006, 02:23 PM Am starting on the planned mods - I already got the Bridgestone Dueler Alenzas installed (Sat) and my Tangerine-Coordinating beach towels and bungees are now in the E. Today I rec'd my box from handa and I will be installing the console armrest and steering wheel cover this week (they are a perfect match to the grey interior trim BTW - which is a big deal to me). Also in today's delivery - my discreet flame license plate holders (they match the Tangerine Metallic PERFECT), my teeny convex mirror for the driver's side mirror and my digital compass. Also coming soon - my black diamond rear mat and tray liners from Elemmat and my black carpet from South Coast. Now all I need is a set of grill covers - I want the billet style but in black and I haven't found them yet. I like the ones on eBay a lot and they look easy to install but not sure about the stainless grey color in the black bumper? Stainless grey would match the rocker panel trim and the side steps and but I just keep seeing the grills black. Will keep looking....
Whew - all that and last but not least - my turtle and "Apple" decals go on and I am DONE for right now - the bank account is protesting :)
Thanks to EOC I had my mods list ready the minute we bought the E. We saved so much on the accessories I was able to get/order everything I really wanted. Now if I just had some more daylight hours and a couple of Dallas 70 degree winter days to get everything installed. Hubby is not mechanically inclined so it's just lil ol' me and my toolbox. Thank goodness my Dad didn't have any boys and taught me and my sis to be handy and car-savvy. And the E is "My" car anyway.
Still havin' fun with my new E and I will post pics once everything is "on".
Oh - and my new dashboard bobble buddy is----A TURTLE, natch.
The Rube 01-23-2006, 02:29 PM Awesome looking ride. I like the look. I just may have to paint my panels to match. Looks really nice. Nice wheels.
Best of luck with it. Love clean looking "E"s...
SirEatALot 01-23-2006, 02:36 PM wow! beautiful! congrats!
what aftermarket parts are you planning on putting in/on it?
SirEatALot 01-23-2006, 02:37 PM ooh.. oops. there's a second page where you talk about that. haha my bad ;)
Evie Elemento 03-10-2006, 01:14 PM Hello Everyone and Hi Tango, Hey I really love your Tangerine Element. I have seen in at the dealershiip and I was drawn to it like a magnet. If I was buying a new one that is the color I would chose. Actually I ended up at the dealership because my friend was selling her Element and so I did some research and scouting when I saw the tangerine one. Well my friend gave me a great price that I could not pass up in buying her Element. It is in top shape and It is a 2004 Galapagos Green Metalic Element EX-P 4WD with chrome rims. Only 17,400 miles and it was totally painted (panels and all) in 2004 before they did the EX-P this 2006. So tonight we are getting together for dinner to get the keys. I can hardly wait. I want to post pictures and also put some information under my Screen name but not sure how to do it. I just joined the club and want to learn. I am glad to be here with all of you Element lovers and so hey, "Lets get on the road, and have fun." :)
Ernie 03-10-2006, 04:02 PM Congrats Tango!
I am coming up on my first week of ownership. Thanks to everyone at the EOC for your welcomes. Also thank you for all of your advice. I read over many of the threads with information about price and mods. I have yet to buy any mods, but I will be proceeding with solid research.
I too look at mine every chance I get. It truly does "glow." I was struck by this color from the get-go. I love and respect all the other colors, but this color fits my personality. I've only seen two (TM EX-Ps) in person - one was parked in the nearby town of Cambridge MA (hello!) and one was on Saltspring Island in BC (hello!).
I still wonder about how many of each color that Honda is making? I just don't want everyone and their brothers to have one ... as long as I'm the only one on the block - that would be like wearing the same dress to a party?
Again, congrats to us!
