SopBox 01-22-2006, 09:29 AM So many folks has posted their NBP EX-P's (painted panels) that I thought it might be nice to see how nice the unpainted panels look as well.
( Oh yes.., that is the front of a Tangerine at the dealership.. it looked just too bright orange in the Arizona sun for me! )
SopBox 01-22-2006, 09:49 AM This pic has been giving me problems, had to redo it all...
Compare NPB to Tangerine in the Arizona winter sun.
kissya 01-22-2006, 10:01 AM :) I still like the contrast between the black mat and gloss of the paint. Very nice NBP was my second choice in color when I was shopping for my E.:D
kalinka 01-22-2006, 12:01 PM The tangerine looks different every time someone posts it. In this picture it looks very coppery and metalic, in other posts it looks bright orange, almost neonish.
I like it in this shot, i prefer a copper color, if it is really that color i would enjoy it, if it has a super bright candy kind of feel it would probably make me nuts. Guess I will just have to wait and see it in person

Here are some pics I took a while back at the dealer of the tangerine. It was an overcast day. I put one of the pics above in with mine in lower right corner for comparison.
kalinka 01-22-2006, 05:06 PM Those two look similar to me but then there is the one that Tango posted where it is way more orange... Here it is. To me it is very different so I am wondering if there have been two different dye lots or something
rhythm_ace 01-22-2006, 05:20 PM Yes, if you look at the Honda site, it's a very bright orange. Elsewhere it looks like pumpkin. At the top of this page, it looks reddish orange. (By "top of this page" I meant the advert with the skunk which may/may not be the top of the page when you view it)

Yes I agree, the contrast is what sold me. I am a sucker for classic black. I wish it was that easy when it comes to my next Harley purchase. They just came out with a wild deep cobalt blue. Which is best?

Wow, what a choice to make.....they are both so beautiful. I think if I had to decide I would go with the Cobalt Blue . That color would look really great with any chrome you decided to do for accessories. Also, since the blue is a new color, everyone will know thats in the know that it is a brand new bike. Does that make sense? Anyway please post pics when you decide on your new Hog. Zooom, Zooom

Hopefully I can stay sober enough in St. Louis to remember and check for any color differences. I like the darker orange that Tango posted beter but, it may just be in the shade. My first reaction was Woah I like this orange. Have not seen the Kewi in person yet or black with black painted panels.
All I have seen is painted panels. Whats up? Has anyone seen the new colors with plastic unpainted panels. Maybee I just need to keep searching around the EOC more for pics.
I really like the black with black painted panels. I also like the black with unpainted panels....Aaaaaah they are all so cool. Thanks for starting this thread!
Al-a-ment 05-23-2006, 10:44 PM It has been a while but here she is:

You did have an influence on my color choice! She is one sweeeeet ride!
kissya 05-23-2006, 11:04 PM OMG...so beautiful.....I'm so jealous. Wow, I don't know what to say...
Al-a-ment 05-23-2006, 11:12 PM The next time I run down to Mrytle Beach or Daytona I'll have to make a pit stop at your place and give you a ride. . . :D
45stang 05-28-2006, 10:33 AM very nice! i like the unpainted panels better! they are more in keeping with the E's funky and functional look! the black wans my second choice as well!
2003 SSM EX 4WD BFG All Terrains!
Ink Slinger 07-09-2006, 07:00 AM Mine is black cherry. Depending on the light it can look black, dark brown, or metal flake bergundy. The Cobalt blue is awesome in person. Of course... nobody makes black like Harley does. I went on E-Bay and purchased the Road King Custom wheels. They look like the ones on the Street Glide only silver machined and a touch of chrome. It really brings out the front end.
So far:
Chrome front end (forks and the works)
Trigger finger brake and clutch controls
Harley - pilot grips
Highway pegs that match the rest of the footboards
Rear passenger foot boards
Stage 1 Kit with Screamin Eagle exhaust pipes
Cee-Bailey 6 inch windshield - custom made ($35 vs Harley's $104)
Sun Downer seat (to keep the wife happy)
Removable sissy bar and pad
Saddle bag top covers (I have short legs) for when I happen to kick a saddle bag when throwing a leg over the bike
Front end lowering kit
Highway bar mounted driving lights
Chrome radio surround
Chrome speaker surround
Windshield bags (3 bag set)
Turn signal conversion kit (red lenses for the rear blinkers and the blinkers act as brake lights and turn signals)
Kuryakyn - turn signal covers
Stealth mounted luggage rack (very cool mounting!!!!!)
Shorty radio antenna (Pep Boys)
Cruise control (awesome!!!)
To come:
Comfort contoured rear saddle bag guards
Forward mount driving light kit (new)
Vance and Hines header pipes to go with Screamin Eagle exhaust to make a "true" dual exhaust system
I would like to still lower the seat height another 1/2 inch - but this bike already came with the low profile rear shocks. Everything on the market lowers another 1 to 1 1/2". May have to get a mount made.
LePera low profile seat (for when the wife isn't riding with me)
Pin striping of some type. No much... just enough to accent the lines of the bike.
StumpjumperDave 07-09-2006, 08:01 AM here is a shot of my Tangerine, on a normal day...
