Hi All
just upgraded my tires... its is pretty snowy and icey up here and the road a rough. I was looking for a All Season, All Weather unit
I bought some Nokians from Kal Tire. 215/70/16, same size as OEM
These tires are rated for 100,000 KM and rated for all season
I noticed a big diferrence right away.. better grip and I like the mialge rating
Keep you all posted

Yeah, it was sort of a rhetorical post. Also, you said you'd keep us posted :)

can I ask how much you paid for the 4 nokian tires in CAD$ because I might be interested too..
Did you compare that to X-ICE. Is Nokian better?
Thanks

Hi
I paid $136.00 per tires before taxes.
However I think that the price has gone up since then
I just put 1000 KM on these tires. This was on highway road in -5 C weather.
The roads up here (Yukon) are not so smooth and a bit rough
The are much quieter than the old Goodyear crap and I seem to be getting the same or better milage. (31 MPG, imperial measurements)
I feel much more comfortable driving with these Nokians on the car
Bought them at Kal Tires in Whitehorse

Ok... so no one is reading my post
Could be because you posted it in the Canadian section.
I moved it to the tire section so it's a bit more accessible for everyone.

I read your post....here's my reply: Maybe I'm doin the calcs wrong, I don't get anywhere near 31 mpg. I'm comin up there to check this out. Do you have an EOC sticker?.....I'll be in WH early May...I'll keep my eyes peeled....

hey
No EOC sticker but I am one of the two Black Elements in town
I calculate the KM/L then I convert this back to MPG.
(something that seems more familiar)
City driving = 22 - 24 MPG
The last highway trip = 31 MPG (Imperial measurements)
The CDN gallon is different that the US measurement
see you in town
