Is there anyway to install an aftermarket device to allow me to control the tracks and songs on my ipod from the stereo controls? Thanks Andyg

Alpine's got a good one coming out. Look for one of Outpost4's recent posts about the stuff shown at this year's CES.

But my whole question was is it possible to use the stock stereo and get the same effect?

Barely. There is Honda's Music Link, which is available from H & A for about $160. There is also other adapters from Neo and other people that will give you rudimentary control over an iPod using the deck's CD changer functions. Warning - over on the Ridgeline board, I think they are ready to burn the head of Honda in effigy over the Music Link adapter. Its controls are limited, there is no display on the deck of the iPod's track info and worst of all, the controls on the Nano itself are defeated when you use the Music Link adapter. I think you are best to use the Belkin adapter mentioned elsewhere (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20563&highlight=belkin) on this board and control the music directly from the Nano.

You don't mention if you have an EX or LX. If you have an EX, no problem. Bring the sound in through the AUX connector. If you have an LX, there is a PIE adapter that will do the trick. It will run you an additional $80. Let me know, either here or though a PM, if you have an LX and I can point you to the PIE adapter.

Sorry. Welcome to the limits of technology. :)
