I just happened to turn on the TV and there is Matt of the Today Show talking about "cross-overs" and low and behold....an SOP Element!!!

They once again stated that the Element is marketed towards the 20 year old surfer....UGH!!! Said that the E is a real bargin!

They went on to say that the Pontiac Vibe is just like the Element just lower. UGH!!! I am so not driving a jacked up vibe!

Then they went on to talk about the Crysler Pacifica....putting it in the same class as an E! But then said it is a bit more like a minivan.

Then the top of the line crossover the Lexus RX330. And finally they ended up talking about the Volvo SUV (built on a car frame, therefore qualifies as a crossover)

Once again they jsut brushed over the Element...and since they kept on going up in price and features I think that it made the element seem like the low man on the toeteum pole!

It is great to see the E get a little national coverage.

I test drove a Vibe and could barely fit in there. That thing is puny compared to the E. The E is more like a sporty Ford Escort or something. Very little power too. Goes to show that they just have a little "filler" marketing script to go through and don't really have to know much about the vehicles. But then again, I'm not sure Matt Lauer really knows much about anything he talks about on tv. :lol: hehe

I would have to agree about Matt Lauer....he is like Katie Couric's lap dog or something!!!

my father called me during that Today Show thing to tell me all about it. I was at work but it doesn't sound like I missed much. Apparently the old man doesn't go into work very often....

Have you ever seen the comercial for the "i think Kia Sportage". Unlike the E those other crossovers are affraid to get dirty LOL. So I don't understand why they could compare a Lexus to an E. Your not going to sleep in a lexus, throw a muddy mountain bike in the back or even let those beutiful leather seats get soaked. The E is made for all this
