Does it do the same thing with both remotes? If not, it's a bad remote battery. If neither remote works properly I would be making a trip to the dealership. It's brand new, you shouldn't be having any problems at this stage.

The only initial problems I had with my E were because of a dealer installed option. They hooked up the fog lights incorrectly and as a result I didn't have to put the car in park to take the key out. Weird. It took a while to figure this out.

Take it back, maybe to the dealer you bought the car from. I suspect installation error.

Yikes...

My E (with the Honda security system) is less than two weeks old, and tonight, first problem: the keyless entry/securty system is dead, or almost dead, since it reponses about once every 20 times.

Is this possible: I remember I was in my parked E with a friend, and we saw another E right in front of us. The other owner opened her doors with her remote and drove away, then the problem began with my E. Is it possible that somehow her system is screwing up mine? Weird...

Thanks for reading this...

Sounds like a dead battery in your remote. Other security system even the same brand will not interfere with each other. Units have roaming codes which keep them from operating other systems.
