The more I learn, the more questions I have...

So, if I'm simply going to get a better HU with my LX (say the Alpine CDE-9843), with no amp - do I get component speakers or not? (say, Polk Audio db5250 - which Crutchfield website *says* will fit.) Do component speakers require more power?
