i got an '03 ex. i had to change the battery recently and since then i lost the sound. and before you ask, yes, i used the correct theft deterrent code. apparently it still gets electricity since the clock functions and it can eject cds. just no sound. ideas?

They say if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, then it doesn't make a sound. So maybe you're not really there when you turn on your car radio. You might have unwittingly entered a new dimension or an alternate universe. You perceive yourself acting within the time/space continuum, yet you don't truly exist. You're trapped in an existential conundrum.

Either that, or you just shorted a circuit when you changed the battery.

Check fuses. If thats not it you might have shorted out the factory amp. I blew the subwoofer output on mine. They seem fragile.

I'd have to agree with the factory amp. It only lasted me a few months before it began causing such a power draw that it was affecting the rest of my amps. Its located inside the front passenger kick panel.
