: IMPORTANT: St Louis Cardinals Baseball Game
T Mac 02-11-2006, 01:57 PM UPDATE: We just got word that we DID GET one of the luxury boxes at the all-new Busch Stadium for Friday night (July 14th) game. It is VERY important that those of you who think you will want to join us at this game tell us here.
We are going to launch the national meet registration sometime in the next couple of days. This is because in order to actually get the room, we need to send them our money ASAP. So, if you intend to join us in the party room - which is $82 per person - you will need to send us the money asap. Don't worry about the money until you hear us asking for it. But right now, PLEASE... post here if you intend to come to the national meet and want to do the party room at the Cards/Dodgers game with us.
For the money: luxury box, pretzels, chips, snacks, free soda/beer until middle of 7th inning, I think.
Thanks!! Oh, and if you're not sure whether to come to the meet or not, let me tell you...St. Louis has a TON to do for all ages, so even if you want to make a vacation out of it...you don't want to miss an EOC event like this. They're a great time with great friends and it only happens once a year!
kissya 02-11-2006, 03:30 PM  I'll be there....hope the game is good. Party of one.
T Mac 02-11-2006, 03:56 PM I forgot to mention, please tell us if it's just going to be you or if you are bringing a guest. Currently we will limit it to only one guest so we can get as many EOC members in the room as possible, but if you'd like to bring more than one.. post that so we can guage overall interest.
Thanks!
Am planning on it, will travel solo as of now. This is the low-humidity suite, right? Wit really cold beer buckets?
T Mac 02-11-2006, 11:59 PM Keep it coming guys... who wants to go see the game in the new stadium???
outpost4 02-12-2006, 07:13 AM I'll be there, and since when is kissya a party of one? She's a whole party all by herself!

dfreeze 02-12-2006, 05:27 PM 90% certain that I'm coming to the meet. If I do, I would definitely be up for the luxury box at the game. Only $40 more per person, AND it includes beer! $40-worth of beer at a new baseball stadium is only like 3 beers. :)
bobhch/hchbob 02-12-2006, 10:46 PM Yes Mrs.bobhch and I (bobhch/hchbob) will be thier for the baseball game in the box. Thanks for making the arangements. Will send money ASAP when contacted.

hownowcb 02-23-2006, 09:23 PM I wonder what T-Mac meant by "..our party room is air conditioned"? Since when was he a Misfit? What a double-edged sword -- being the site owner, and having to be all civilized on national meet weekend! I feel sooo much better being an ordinary "prole"! :D

The Party Room is air conditioned plus we have seats outside of the room for us to sit in to watch the game with the "common folk".
Dom.five 02-25-2006, 02:23 PM Game starts at 7:10 PM !!!
juliE 02-25-2006, 03:34 PM *Part of the party room is air-conditioned, but I don't think the entire room is.
dfreeze 02-26-2006, 10:25 AM In Cincinnati's stadium, the party rooms are enclosed and air-conditioned. That's where the bartender and food are, plus seating for approx 6-10 people. It's set-up sort of like a living room. There are plasma televisions showing the game, plus other games, plus ESPN. You walk out a glass door and you are in your actual outdoor seats, which are isolated from anyone else. I would assume that St. Louis is set-up the same way.
Regardless, we just sent you payment for our registration and tickets to the game. (I'm dragging 'mrs. dfreeze' along with me this year. Haven't told her yet......)
ElemutGrrl 02-26-2006, 02:26 PM Count me in!! :)
h_man01 02-27-2006, 06:23 PM I'm in for 2 - me & the mrs.
spdrcr5 02-27-2006, 10:17 PM Just an update on the Baseball tickets... we are halfway to 50 so if you want to go to the game please get registered ASAP.
Thanks for registering everyone. :)
ramblerdan 04-10-2006, 07:36 PM I'm in for two. Any interest in hiring a bus/van to take us from the hotel to the stadium and back? Would be nice to drink and not worry about driving.
ADAMLSTL 04-10-2006, 07:48 PM The Cards won the first game in the new stadium!!! GO CARDS!:D

That's an ingenius idea. I'm in for two people on the bus, if we get one. With 50 people, that's 13 Elements. That's 13 out of 50 people that won't be able to drink (that much). Probably a little too hopeful.
T Mac 04-10-2006, 08:08 PM LOVE the bus idea but it would be very expensive. One idea is that the St. Louis Metrolink is not far from the hotel. In theory, we could drive only a few exits down, park and take the rail straight to the stadium and back. The hotel even offers a shuttle that might take a group down to the Metrolink too, for that matter.
NOTE: We still have tickets for the game. PLEASE register for this meet soon!!!
