Attaching a shot of the cleaners I used so that you can save the "Ace, how did you almost get it so clean?" questions. But seriously, for the database I guess they're worth mentioning.

Notice my can of canola oil (for the panels), which my hands will now smell like for the rest of the day. The detail shot from the passenger front fender gives an idea; it seems to be evening out. Now all I have to do is bake @ 375. No squirrel attacks thus far.

Also used a microfiber mitt, an old-fashioned chamois, a brush for the tires, some newspaper for the windows, and paper towels.

Do ya wanna come over and do mine? No panels so no Canola needed. Beautiful sunny day and I have been thinking I should do the same thing - not as motivated as you tho, still just "thinking" . Great idea to shoot the product line-up - I have lots of Meguire's stuff - hubby met someone with them on one of his NHRA promo jaunts (his company sponsors NHRA and he is the Sr VP of Marketing so basically he is the sponsor) so we have enough products to do an entire neighborhood of cars. I have been putting together my "E" milk crate of stuff - got a couple of new washing mitts and drying towels so I am at least, product-wise, ready to clean/detail. A lot of the same Meguires stuff we use on the Vette is recomended for the E so I didn't have to get much - some interior stuff since no leather in the E.
Now if I just had your "energy" - your E looks great BTW!

It's the perfect day, Mrs. T. I thought I'd have a bunch of problems drying it, having read in here how there are lots of nooks and crannies for the water to hide in. Must be dry enough today that that isn't a problem...the water's sublimating, maybe? Or just hiding and waiting to pounce later? After all that rain we just had, I expect she'll be clean for oh, at least a day.

Merci beaucoup!

Maybe it's kinda dumb but...on the inside, I made some trays for the liners and I padded the armrests with hand towels. I did them in green. So you can accent, break up the monochrome thing if you want, change it later, etc.

Hmm, I have a few on the puter but you've prolly already seen these? You can see the green here and there. I've been living with it, liking it ok. I guess I could go with green seatcovers etc. Threw in the pedals just because I found that jpg while looking for others.

HA!!!! That is where I got the idea from! On the ride to Tampa I had a lumbar support pillow that I wrapped around the door arm rest just like you did, I knew I got the idea from this forum but could not remember who from. Twas you.
I like the idea, the lumbar pillow was a bit too large but I am going to cut a piece of pu furniture grade foam to size and will cover it with some gray polar fleece and make little velcro straps to achieve the same thing. I do not think it will be very difficult as the velcro straps can be glued. I am going to use an electric knife for the foam and I think I can kind of contour it so it looks like it belongs there. I have done a few things like that before, I may even cover it with ultra suede to give it a better finish. Thanks for that idea.

Actually, I think I stole the idea from lifeizgood. He had done the foam (only) and I added the towel over the foam. But then, for adding to the MM palette, I'd have to give credit to Kissya.

Hey, I steal from the best :D

I just liked the idea that if I change my mind and want red...or blue...or whatever, I can do it easily and cheaply. Grey is about as neutral as it gets, so everything except browns will work, right?

Yea brown might look kind of funny in there. I was going to try to make it look like it was just part of interior.

I'm honored, rhythm_ace! Thank you kindly. :)

But someone else on the EOC did it first...

Well, life and kissya, and Kalinka, I hope I'll have a mod one day that you'll be able to use. But chances are, it will be another mod I stole from someone else.

Anyways, the canola is still glossy but I'm noticing a slight odor. We've been up at 70 to 80F this week, which can't help. It does attract some dust and is kind of swirly in places. I think the heat causes it to kind of "migrate" or whatever, and I suppose I could apply more, but I won't. I think I'll go with Empire's mod of dyeing the panels instead and for that, I'll have to get the oil off.

I wonder how the peanut butter bunch did. It occurred to me today that leaning up against one of these panels might be a sticky experience.
