You can probably guess the pic in which Gidget was "asking" for a treat. Wicked cold day but that just jazzed Gidget to run full out from the Capitol to the Lincoln. When I lived in Silver Springs, MD, a DC Suburb (for those that don't know), the Mall and Monument were always great people places. I think I enjoyed watching the fireworks more at the Monument. It's a comfy place to bring a picnic and just lay out to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. When I was visiting in 1998, the news media made public announcements that... if you brought a sofa, remember to take it with you out of the park and not just dump it. Yes, RealWheels, there is much about DC I do not like (especially the traffic congestion caused by all the security measures and construction projects) but the Mall is something very special.
