Scribblin' Pete

As a lifelong biker (primary transport these days is a 2003 Victory Classic Cruiser) I was wondering why my new E is such a giggle to drive. Part of it is the panoramic view forward, and the ease of handling on narrow back roads, especially with the automatic. Part of it is the industrial view of the ****pit, kinda like a simplified C-47, very functional and commonsense. Part of it is the obvious comraderie among owners, like Harley riders only more polite. Part of it is the ease of entry/exit, like straddling a slammed Harley Softail. Like a footboarded cruiser, it goes to show you don't need Corvette (or Ninja 1400) power and handling to have a blast.
By the way, my first tankful netted me over 22 mpg with an automatic on back roads, traffic, and Interstates 70 and 81. I know, I know, Corvettes get up to 28 mpg. But would you carry two shedding, slobbering Labs in one? And would you attempt snow on your 180 mph/40 mpg Ninja?
