Later this week... hopefully... I'll get a cd5425 put in. I would do it myself, but i definately want the 3 year warrany. It says it has aux input, but from what the dealer said It would have to be an adaptor that plugs into the cd changer port. I've seen these for all sorts of other HU's, but i can't seem to find one for eclipse. I can find the interface that lets you control the ipod from the deck, and charge it, but i just want a simple aux input. So, i guess my question (about the 3 millionth one this month) is does anyone know if there is/where to get an aux input adaptor for the 05 eclipse cd players, specifically the cd5425?

OK, I looked some more and happened to find what I wanted... I think. Can anyone look at this (http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=776) and certify that its what I want.

The adapter you linked to will only give you a line-in through the CD changer port.
I have a similar item on my JVC, except that instead of RCA jacks, I have a 3.5mm stereo plug. I use it for my Sirius PnP receiver.

Right, ok. So i've got a belkin charger thing, the one that also had the 1/8th stereo line out. so all i have to do is get a cable that has a male stereo 1/8" on one end and 2 male stereo rca plugs on the other and I should be able to get signal on my HU, right?

Yes, get the adapter and with that cable you'll get AUX in.
As for having your Eclipse dealer installed and getting the 3 year warranty, that deal ended as of February. It can be installed here in March, but it needed to have been sold by 2/28/06 to get the extended warranty. If your deck was sold here in March, PM me and I'll give you some advice off the board.

You can go to Radio Shack and get either one of these two cables:
#42-2483 (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103859&cp=2032058&pg=7&f=Taxonomy%2FRSK%2F2032058&categoryId=2032058&kwCatId=2032058&kw=rca+cable&parentPage=search)
#15-2457 (http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2110460&cp=2032058&pg=2&f=Taxonomy%2FRSK%2F2032058&categoryId=2032058&kw=rca+cable&kwCatId=2032058&parentPage=search)
Or with a little more work, you can actually connect up to your factory in-dash aux connector...if you were to be so ambitious.
