hi all,
i'm posting pics of my new element. what an awesome vehicle. i love it and i love this site. i just read and read and read...
since i'm new to the site and to posting i don't think i can "insert" a pic at a time and describe it, so i'll describe them all. the first two were taken in north phoenix. the third shows my mtbike angus inside. since the pic i've removed for good the rear seats. it's just me and my girls (4th pic).
can't wait to go campin' n' biking!
cheers:)

Sure, you can get your bumpers painted.

You mean painting it? I don't see why not, other people have painted the panels on their E

Nice Color choice. I see you like to ride, thats a nice bike. Are thinking about getting a rack. ?

If not... you should:-D

Congratulations.

I do however have to say that's definitely my least favorite color of the new batch. I thought it was going to be the Kiwi, but after seeing on in person I kinda like it.

I do however cannot stand the new wheels (I know I say it all the time).

I think that is a gorgeous color -- absolutely stunning!

I would be tormented by choice if I were shopping for an E now. The tangerine, kiwi, this new red... Then there'd be the leftover 05 Magnesium Metallic...

Whoever is in charge of the Element color palate: Bravo!

I like the color, but not the wheels... I still prefer a color that goes well with contrasting panels... I think most of the colors would look better with black panels.

well, no, i'm not going to get a rack. one of the reasons for choosing an E was so i could be able to put my bike inside w/o taking the front wheel off. i had a great rack on my previous wheels but would worry when left in a parking lot (food after a ride) or at work when i'd bring it to ride afterwards. the rack came with a lock and i would put another through the door handle of the rear gate, but i would still not be comfortable. see pic below.

now that i've completely removed the rear seats it's easier to put the bike in, but is still a bit of a hassle. i'm thinking of rigging a board with some fork mounts and take the front wheel off. loading the bike by myself takes some effort even though i'm a big girl (tall).

i've looked around the forums to see if anyone has rigged something up (i don't want to drill directly into the spare panel.) oh, it's fun to search.

btw, i'm selling the yakima rack if anyone is interested. needs a 2" hitch. the good thing about it is that ANY bike geometry frame fits it cuz you mount the wheels on the rack, not the frame.
