I own a small online speed shop that a buddy of mine and I run from home. It's really not much more than a hobby really. Well, I have a lot of contacts in the import industry, and a friend of mine from Rev Hard told me that they are working on a turbo kit for the Element. There are several companies in the industry that put out turbo kits for Hondas. Most of them are for the street, and see some track use. Rev Hard is really the only brand name big time kit that you can drive on the street, or compete seriously with, because they know how to make power, and they do, a lot of it.

I really don't have any information on it, and I don't know when it will be out, or how much it will cost...but if I can speculate, it will probably contain the following:

T3/T04E or T3/60-1 Turbocharger
Cast Iron or Tubular Stainless Steel Manifold
BIG ASS Intercooler
All fittings, charge pipes, fuel pump, oil lines, etc...

They make a killer kit, complete with everything you need. If they stay true to how they usually are, the kit should retail around $3850 or so, which means the shops who aren't out to rob you blind should sell it around $3300 maybe, or less, depending. This is big news for us. Having a company like Rev Hard support the Element will open the door for other aftermarket companies to join in. I used to run a custom Rev Hard kit on my old Civic, fitted to a B16A engine, and ran mid 12's on street tires, and moderate boost. I wouldn't be surprised to see an Element putting down 275hp+ stock, with only the Rev Hard kit, and an exhaust.

You can bet that I'll be in line when these suckers come out.

Just wanted to give you performance enthusiasts a heads up!

Nice to know that there are comapnies interested in the E,....I hope there are middle of the line mods for those of us who just want "small" performance / gains.....

HEK, there will be. You have to look economically at what is happening here.

Think of how many people are going to spend $3300 on an aftermarket turbo for their Element. Not many. Maybe a few speed freaks like Mr. Morelli here, but I know my Element is not getting turbo (it will get boost in the form of a JRSC with around 6psi in a couple years).

Think of how many people are going to buy the typical I/H/E. A lot more. More people want to buy the little mods; they're cheaper and more practical for everyday driving. More demand means they'll put them out. DC's new K24 prototype Intake, Header, and Exhaust should fit the Element. I am going to buy the header when it is released and try it. If it doesn't fit, I'll return it, big deal.

My Project Element is going to look good, be loud, and tote me around everyday in a bit quicker fashion than it does now. I'm not building a 12 second box. If I wanted to do that, '88 CRX here I come.

For now I'm going to just wait and see...now I'm involved in some remodeling in my house and can't take the time to go out and do the research or take a chance on trial and error mods for the E....

I'm almost sure that the SRI from Injen for an RSX or Accord will work just fine...is the tab that mounts to the engine and the heat shield respectively that have me worried that they will not line up .... so guys I put myself in your hands and please advise of your results.....

Thanks :D

Are there any Blower kits available now for other Honda models that use the Element engine & transmission. Chips should be part of the kit too..

Will my EX's driveline handle 275 RWHP? :o :D

Sure it's enevitable  . Someone will do it, than others will follow. IMO: It's not too realistic to slap a turbo on there. Sure there's those that don't blink at $3500, and it'd be fun to hang with faster cars off the line, but after that...wind, gravity, STABILITY, etc. would need to be addressed. ie. more money and you figure you should have got a new Z that would wax the "turbo E" anyway. But if you are doing it for the innovation factor that's cool. Show, towing, dyno, yea. I can already destroy an H2 (stock) off the line, so I am happy. But that's not why I bought it.

Wouldn't the 275hp gain kill the tranny?

Like I said, don't quote me on the power...that's just my estimate given the facts. Anyway, as far as the tranny is concerned, Honda makes some of the strongest OEM trannies on the planet. This is true with the previous generations, and I don't think that would change. There are 700whp Hondas running stock trannies, so I would highly doubt that a 300hp Element would have tranny problems.
