: EX-P Done
chozn4service 03-20-2006, 09:03 AM I finally got my Element where I want it to be. It's got 340 miles on it now and the '03 SMM I traded in January for it had everything on it and fortunately my dealership through in the fog, steps and spoiler for me so I didn't have to start all the way from scratch. Anyway, I got a deal on my hood deflector and rear bumper from the dealership by charging me what handaaccessories would charge minus the shipping. I do have the tray liners on the way and the only other thing I really want other than the front bumper trim if I can get it in black or carbon fiber, is the dash kit.
The thing I really like about my Element is that it's simple in it's mods, clean and it still looks like it did when I bought it. I don't think I've done anything to it somebody else wouldn't want if I were to put it on the auction block. Like I said, my previous E sold in one day.
I finally got my EOC decal and it's the best thing on the car next to my Jesus plate! If you don' have it you should get it. Anyway, I hope that one day I can get the EOC car of the month. I know there are others that have done many things but this one is mine, the way I like it!
chozn4service 03-20-2006, 09:10 AM A few more shots.
kissya 03-20-2006, 09:10 AM :D Nice Pics good job. Thanks for posting them.:D
chozn4service 03-20-2006, 09:13 AM Thanks! I can't wait to get it on the road in July. Heading to Daytona and Orlando, FL as well as the ATL and Savannah, GA.
spdrcr5 03-20-2006, 09:14 AM Looks nice, but in order to be considered for EOTM you need to post up some really good pictures. We don't want pictures in driveways anymore. We want to see yuor E out and about in some nice fun situations. Something "artsy" and different. Or if you have some killer mods done we want to see some emphasis on those.
If you want some ideas of what we are looking for, take a look at the March ROTM (http://www.ridgelineownersclub.com/forums/rotm0306.php). We want to be able to showoff and showcase peoples Elements and possibly turn this into a calendar each year...
chozn4service 03-20-2006, 09:21 AM Yea, I know what you mean. I have some ideas in mind but it's just getting around to getting it done. I know my trip in July will produce some of them. Just like running for president, I'm trying to get the pulse of Emerica to see if I'm worthy of their vote. Wonder what the people in Iowa will think? ;-)

Honestly you don't have to have anything done to your Element to be considered for EOTM. We want nice pictures. Sure it is great to see the E's with stereos and wheels and paint jobs... but those can get boring after a while if it is every single month over and over. Then everyone thinks the only way they can ever be chosen is if they sank $10k into their ride... that isn't what it is about. We want some nice pictures and if you happen to have mods or whatever done that's cool too.
We really want everyone to have the chance to be picked and everyone has the chance to take some nice pictures of their rides.
Hope this makes sense to you and everyone else reading this.
outpost4 03-20-2006, 09:49 AM Nice E, chozn. I voted I liked it but it could use some inside neon lights. ;-) :D
For action shots, there is a ski jump just outside of La Crosse. Maybe you could drive your car down that...your E flying though the air...sticking the landing...you raising your arms in victory...that sort of thing. :-P
Now that would be impressive.
Evie Elemento 03-20-2006, 10:35 AM Hey Chozn4service, I really like your element. My favorite color is red. So your red element as well as your Jesus plate really caught my eye.
I was wondering why did you sell your previous Element? Was it cause you wanted the EX-P? Or did you drive it so much it was time for a new one? Anyway I just got my 2004 4WD EX-P Element. It was painted at the dealership before the "P" were made avaliabele. So I am really enjoying it. I have only had it a week. They are great SUV's which leave the lots of money ones in the dust with room and functionality. Oh another thing, is there a red plastic film on your Jesus plate? I wonder if CA requires you to have plates in front, does anyone know?
Happy Cruising.........Everyone!!!! :)
Evie Elemento 03-20-2006, 10:38 AM  Opp's I forgot. How can I get the Element Club decal? Got to get me one now that I joined.
Happy Cruisin......and enjoy the view. :D

EOC Merchandise can be purchased here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/merch.htm). There is a link at the top of the forums called EOC Merch. :)
chozn4service 03-20-2006, 11:03 AM I was just in southern California this past December. I helped my brother drive his NBP Element from LA to Indianapolis, IN for his relocation back here. Nice drive and very comfortable. We did it in 36hrs including a lay over in OK City, OK. I traded my previous '03 Element (30K miles) because I went to the dealership to get my wife an Accord and it was the first thing I saw when we pulled onto the lot. I had to look it over and once we finished her deal I told the finance guy that if I could get into that vehicle for what I'm paying now, I'd do it in a heart beat. Needless to say, that was easy to do for him and me. I've always been partial to burgundy and being that it was cloudy, that's the color it looked to me. Since bringing it home and having it out on a bright sunny day I saw how it was more red than my personality would go for and I started to take it back but it's grown on me. I like it and it was a leap for this Aries guy who is more down to earth with the fire on the inside instead of displaying it on the outside.
My Jesus plate was on my previous Element and I painted it to match this EX-P. Just didn't feel right without it and the cover is just a smoke tint.
The EOC decal you can get on this site. Look at the top of the home page or just type in EOC decal in the search window. They come in chrome, which is what I chose and white. I'm not a decal dude but I really like it. Hope that helps you and answers all the ?'s you have. BTW, your Element is sharp and like the wheels too. Remind me of the one's I had on my Lexus GS400.
Evie Elemento 03-20-2006, 06:54 PM Thanks chozn4service in replying to my questions. They were very helpful. I fully understand your Element looking burgandy on a cloudy day. I saw that color at the dealers and thought the same thing. My husband drives a Mazada Tribute and it is burgandy and gray. But the dealer calls it red. Gosh, bottom line is you like it then that is what is important.
I will post more pictures of my Element later. I just got back from a drive by the beach here in Southern CA. Oh boy summer soon approaching.
Happy Crusin and hope you post more pictures. :)
ADAMLSTL 03-20-2006, 07:14 PM A few more shots.
I like the grill....
rhythm_ace 03-20-2006, 07:25 PM I voted "Something's Missing." I guess I'm still not used to the solid color w/o black or grey panels. That said, something else could center it visually. Not sure what. A gigantic hood scoop? Nah. Big ol' decal off a Trans-Am? Nope. Not sure what.
chozn4service 03-20-2006, 08:00 PM I thought maybe some graphics in a dark grey and black, but then again, I don't want to go into overload.
Evie Elemento 03-20-2006, 08:01 PM Does the EOC decal glue on from the outside? In other words does it stick on the window from outside? What if it needed to come off would it damage anything? Just wondering, wanna be careful on my Element.
rhythm_ace 03-20-2006, 08:05 PM Yeah, chozn, the simpler the better. Sportwings or black/chrome body side moldings might break it up a bit. And Evie, yes, you attach it on the outside. Goo gone would probably remove any residue if you ever needed to take off the EOC decal.
Dom.five 03-20-2006, 08:17 PM Chozn It's the Balls !!
I thought I didn't like the P model. Yours looks good !! I can't wait till May, When I can see it live and in person. How's the Broad Ripple Brew Pub sound to you ??
chozn4service 03-20-2006, 09:19 PM Dom, the BRBP sounds good! There are a lot of Elements running around there. Of course The Ripple is sort of an Eclectic place. BTW Jermaine O'Neal just opened his club up there off of Carrollton AV. & Broad Ripple Av. It's called SEVEN, his jeersey number for the Pacers.
Rythm_ace, I was thinking the same thing. It's got to maintain a simple L@@K but just Enuff to catch your attention and let you go. I've been looking but again, it's got to be right or not at all.
Reagan 03-20-2006, 10:01 PM chozn
i love your front plate and the color of your E! :D
how does one submit a pic to be considered for eotm?
R
chozn4service 03-21-2006, 10:36 AM Well, I'm not sure on how it's chozn :-) no pun intended but if you look at the beginning of this post, it was explained that no cars considered sitting in the driveway or on the street. They want action shots on location somewhere excited or different. Maybe if you do one with the sun setting into your rear pop up and have some aux lighting in the back on the inside like it's actually coming inside and lighting it up, while sitting in the desert of the Grand Canyon, it may be considered or how about the space shutting on lift off coming out of the rear pop up if you can get parked in the right location. On the other site is just a matter of submission. Here, they want you out in the snow or some unique and different I think. Not sure on who decides or what the prize is but let your Emagination run wild!
Thanks for the compliment on my plate! It matched so well on my previous E with it being SMM and the plate had those colors as well as black in it. I couldn't get rid of it and the dealership didn't put it on for me when they took it off the trade E because it didn't match. So, I got out the spray can and sprayed it lightly with red and black and then used my small brush and model car paint and touched it up. I like the way it turned out and it blends well with the color scheme of things. Well, I've got to get out here and move some of this 6" of snow we got this morning and make way out.
PEace!
Reagan 03-23-2006, 12:15 AM did you buy the E with the bug deflector installed or did you do it? i have a thread in the Eccesssories forum going because i've tried to install mine to no avail.
desperate R
Evie Elemento 03-23-2006, 02:14 AM I think there is a neat slim look to the Elements yet there is also a bold, boxy and take charge look to them. Here is some of my photos of my 2004 4WD EX-P Element. So much fun!
Keep on Cruisin........and aim for the road ahead!
<(*)))<))
Evie Elemento 03-23-2006, 02:27 AM Here is a couple more pictues. I did not realize until I saw the picture of the chrome rim reflecting off the door. Fun time! :)
chozn4service 03-23-2006, 07:45 AM Reagan, I installed my bug deflector and rear bumper trim last week. I went to my dealership and they told me what the retail was and what they would sell it to me for and I told them what the HandA price was and they let me have it for that price. They wanted my business since I buy cars from them and get my accessories from the internet for much less. It was simple to put on and I didn't have any instructions. You just look under the hood where the rubber strip is on the leading edge of the hood and look for the square openings. That's where the push in tabs go, then you adhere your protective film at those locations to protect the paint on the hood and put your brackets in place and use the screws to secure them to the underside of the hood. Then you put the shield in place and start with the center one, then the right and left center ones with the push screws to secure and then the outside ones that screw to their brackets respectively. It's all good. I did mine at night in a poorly lit garage but it's on. If it's your first time, just take your time and you'll get it. If it's not a Honda part you may have some problems but still get through it. I've heard Lund and some others are off a tad bit.
gladestrider 03-23-2006, 08:15 AM It looks fantastic, but I did vote that somethin's missin. One thing I think is essential for the E is a roof rack. Also, I think a fairly wide piece of side-molding would look really good in black. It would add nice contrast and break up what I think is just too much body color. Also (and most importantly!) it would provide you with some much needed door protection!
Finally you should add one of these, like the one I have, to balance out the front license plate:
