So, I have decided on the E. I have been on three test drives and walked away each time not wanting to make any monetary mistake, being as this is my first car that I have personally purchased and I am a twenty-three year old female who I assume appears rather prey-like.
There is a particular Element that I really like from Honda of Beaverton and I am going to go with my brother in-law tonight and have him assist me.
Questions:
Does anyone recommend any particular dealership in Portland or the surrounding areas?
Does anyone have any advice on getting the lowest price possible on my E?
I am very open to purchasing a used E and loved this 03' last night. The saleman told me that if I purchased a used E through a private party that my warranty would not be transferable, is this true?
Any advice is sooooooo appreciated!
I just bought mine from Capitol in McMinnville. They handed me the keys and let me take the test drive alone. No pressure and they had the best quote. They are a very small dealer compared to Bob. This is my only experience with them so I don't know about their track record. It's a probably a good idea to take your Brother in law with you. Good luck.

Capitol Honda gave me one of the best quotes in the area, but Bill Rogers Honda in Albany had the actual E I wanted in stock and they were willing to beat all the other quotes I had gotten.
Have you solicited quotes from several dealers through the internet? I recommend checking www.edmunds.com to get an idea what the dealer invoice is, and then go through the various web sites to get dealers to email quotes to you.
I can't answer your question about the warranty, I'm afraid. Also, I saw a used E for sale in Sellwood a couple of months ago, but I don't know how aggressively the owners are marketing it, so don't know if it's still there.

Any car I have ever bought used that still had a warranty, the warranty stayed with the car until the original warranty was up (time or miles) and even extended warranties with many cars can be transferred to a new owner. I think the salesperson was feeding you a line of BS - for extended warranties it all depends on the TYPE of warranty and the specifics of that warranty but on new car warranties the warranty goes with the car and does not expire just because the car is sold to someone else.

We were very happy with St. John's Honda. No pressure at all. The most laid back deal ever. Even had a trade in. No games. Let us test drive without going with us and told us we could go for as long as we wanted. We did the original contact through the Costco deal so it worked out easy as could be. They didn't try to sell us on the extended warranty or clearcoat. They didn't have the color we wanted but they called another dealer and traded with them.
I did notice a big row of Element's at the McMinville dealer this past week. With what the others have said they might be a good choice. I've never bought from them but they had the best selection I have seen anywhere.

I started to respond to your post but it turned into a book so I made a new thread about it: http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?p=239572#post239572

DrummerJim's post in his other thread reminded me: stay away from Dick Hannah! They were very pushy with me and continued to send me obnoxious emails after I told them to stop.
