Hi. I'm new to this site and am just about ready to buy my E. I would like to know if anybody out there has ever pulled a boat and how does the e do. I have been planning to get about a 16 footer for fishing. Thanks Norm

Welcome to the EOC, Norm. Not knowing what you're going to buy, check out Racks and Hitches at http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=43 or maybe do a separate search for "boat towing". You'll find a lot of info here.

Keep us posted!

Norm, It won't work. The E doesn't float and it will sink.

The boat and trailer need to weigh less than 1500 lbs. The Element is not a heavy hauler, by any means.

Hi Norm,

I have a 16' Alumacraft with a 25HP Yamaha motor, the E pulls this just fine. This is an older boat, though, and the aluminum is not as thick and heavy as it is on newer boats. I have also pulled a 20' Lund Alaskan with twin 40HP Johnsons but the E really struggles pulling that.

Thanks alot everyone for your help. Great pics TJSKY. I'm looking at a 16 1/2' with a 40 horse motor. Hope to have my E by May.
