Do you use your blinker?

Me? Yes; even when no one is around.

P.S. A tree falling makes noise in the woods even when no one is around.....

I'm not an elderly person, a rich dude in a mercedes, or a 16 year old girl, so yes I use my blinkers.

Aw, heck, after I turned 45, I'd notice it on on the highway long after I'd changed lanes. What's gonna happen when I'm old???

Big pet peeve! I always use my blinker. It's as automatic as putting on the seatbelt.

Another driving pet peeve ... not yielding to the auto already in the rotary.

My problem is with the stereo turned up, I don't turn my blinker off. I don't hear it go click-click-click, so I'll drive with my flasher on. I need a huge idiot light, or maybe blinkers on the top corners of my fenders, like my old '68 Ford Torino had.

I see a new mod comming !!

I use mine all the time. It pisses me off when others dont use them.

And yes the Rotary thing, Just takes a bite out of my shorts.

ALWAYS!

Once I even signaled when I needed to swerve around a car that suddenly stopped. Cat-like reflexes with the blinker.

Why would someone from Indy ask that ??????

He, He .......!

My father in law, came out to the east coast for the first time about 37 years ago! He had never seen one!! Wanted to know if the people that came up with those things were heavily invested in the funeral business.:) LOL Then I go to Indy, and find the biggest one I have ever seen, In the center of the City!! What the Hell is that all about ??

Well I guess if you live at 56'th and Keystone, you dont get the 55 blocks down to the center much !!! LOL

When you get some Free time, take a ride down to the circle!

After all it's called circle CITY !!

BINGO! A dumb poll and a dumb question. I always use my blinkers......

except when Mrs. IRV or my smart *** kids are rideing with me. Then it's "IRV, you didn't signal. And you didn't stop at that Stop Sign either".

What do they know? I'm a near perfect driver.:)

"BINGO! A dumb poll and a dumb question." Thank you IRV, for saying that on my behalf.

"I do not see muck blinkege..." Is that perhaps because one's eyes close by reflex when one blinks? - Hence, missing others signaling their turns, lane changes, whatever?

Even more disturbing: "This is a public poll. Others can see how you voted." I think I shall never participate in one of these again. Who knows when the Bush administration will presume I'm worthy of investigating, because I associate with "blinkers" -- isn't that one of the things the screeners are on the lookout for at airports?

Have YOU checked your blinker fluid level lately?

i chose most of the time because i don't use it when there are no cars around me... or if i'm merging on the freeway late at night when there's no cars around i might just do a quick 1 blink flick while i merge.

I'm a notorious "one blink flicker" If the lane is open when I am ready to move and no one is that close to me I'll just hit the blinker stick (?) so that it flashes once and then by the time I am in the other lane, I have already turned it off. I don't know why I do that though.

Sure, sure, sure, but do you close the bathroom door when you're home alone?
G.J. (who always uses the blinker--with Shen's modification for the side lamps)

Here is Southeastern Virginia, it is practically a requirement that you break off the turn signal stalk. Harldly no one here uses them. As a bicycle commuter, it always makes me hot that people don't use them.

The people who are most flagrant, are the ones in hopped up foreign cars that are doing 85 in a 55 on the interstate as if it their personal road. When they do use it, the are a foot off your front bumper and are already half in your lane.

Sorry for venting, but this just seems to be one more rude thing people seem to do.:x

WHAT HE SAID!!!!! I drive up and down parts of the east coast and people DO NOT USE 'EM!!!!!!!!!!! I've had them cut across in front of me from the right side and all I would see is the antenna on their car waving across in front of my hood........in that case blinker didn't make matter, couldn't see the car anyways.....Alot of drivers out there are 'a' holes and they make sure every one knows it......

Wow! Thirty-two posts on using the turn signal! Whoda thunk it?

Make that thirty-three.

By the way, welcome back Colin. The EOC has been without a resident curmudgeon since Irv went into therapy and booggerg got banned.

Haha, that's not true in my case. I'm a 16 year old girl and I use my blinkers all the time. :]
But I'm sure there are plenty that don't.

Here in rural North Carolina I wasn't even sure they sold cars with all that new-fangled stuff. I don't believe any one around here owns one... at least I've never seen a car with blinkers on... :D

Seriously, I do wish people would use them more. It's hard to predict what some are going to do.

In Florida, just because someone has their blinker on, doesn't mean they are going to turn!!!!!!!
