Cool pics, and thanks for the new thread, kissya. I took a few yesterday and was looking for the appropriate place to put one or two. What did I find? You'd just invented it! :D

I took this yesterday morning without any filters, etc., and liked the outcome.

Waimea Bay on Oahu's North Shore where the waves get to be 30+ in the winter.

Went across the Huson River today to do some shopping. My wife wanted to drive the E so I snapped a couple of photos on the way.
Those are the Catskill mountains to the west of the river. The clouds were low so they kind of blend in.
While turning into the mall a Green Rubicon Jeep was next to us and by the time I got the camera out again I was lucky to capture it. I really wanted to take a pic of his sticker by the driver door which was (H2 recovery team) thought that was funny. Looks like he had one on the back window too. Didn't see that until I put the pic on the puter.
Will have to take more scenic pics as the E gets more miles on it. Just turned 1000 today.
Happy E'ing all

Yes. Also seems that more and more people are getting bitten especially when the water is dirty. I think someone just got bitten last week. Here's a pic of the same beach during the winter when they were having the Eddie Akau Surf Contest which is only held when the waves are 30+ feet. The other picture is during the contest. From the left is Ross Williams (my son-in-law), Kelly Slater (#1 surfer, 7 times world champion) and Bruce Irons (rated in the top 10) competing in the contest.

kissya - the fact that you posted today tells me you are OK after last night's tornado onslaught. How close are you to Dyer County, TN? I am hearing that is where the worst of it was.

Hope you and yours stay safe - give me an Earthquake every 25 years over tornados and hurricanes every year!

Dyer County is in western TN. I'm on the east end. We had thunderstorms most of the night. But no harm was done here. :) Thanks for your concern.:)

TurboT- your pics are killing me! Makes me wish for a good summer session at Kaisers!!! Man, that place is almost worth the crowd. Even when it got packed with super aggro townies, we used to score plenty of waves one peak over towards Ala Moana bowl- didn't know the name of it, so we called it "F$#% Kaisers". Hey MagnEsium, are you local? If you like surfing, Danze is the guy you want to talk to. He's been placing pretty well in the longboard and shortboard amateur contests. He's always the last out of the water at Ala Moana.
Anyway, if you surfed at Kaisers, here's a view which looks something like what you probably saw. The second picture is Turtle Bay in the morning.

No, I'm not a local- just been there a couple times. I'm from Encinitas, CA (you know- Swami's, Seaside, and Cardiff reef). Been surfing my whole life until I got sucked into this inland void called Pittsburgh. Anyway- no worries, I go home in 68 more days... the pics really do keep me sane. Thanks for posting! Hey MagnEsium,
If you've been surfing at Kaisers, you must be more than the occasional tourist and pretty good. Anyway we have had 42 days and 42 nights of rain and storms and almost all of the sewage plants have overflowed into the ocean including a pipe that broke in Waikiki so the City sent 50 million (yes million) gallons of raw sewage into the Ala Wai canal which flows out through the harbor into the ocean so everything from Kaisers and Waikiki to Ala Moana Bowls was closed. Also the windward side and south shore are all closed.
By west side I assume you mean Makaha? Unfortunately no.
The 3 pics here are Waikiki at sunset (without the sewage), the break at Diamond head and the Coast Guard Station at Sand Island for Bacchus1310.

I recently sold that pickup....that picture was from a ride I went on a couple of years ago....yes, we made it....and yes, we had to cross it again to get out. Water came to the doorseal but never came inside. That is the Little Pigeon River in Mt. Eagle area of Tennessee.

Those violets are hard to grow. I always kill mine with over watering. You have got some great colors too. Do you pinch back the leaves. I don't see one brown leaf......

I think this is just a few places around the midwest. I still need to organize all my shots from climbing locales. Again, to keep site bandwidth open:

*Added some shots from various trips to CO. Just need to find my old film shots from Wyoming and scan it.

Actually, it is Mount Shuksan, a rockier neighbor to Baker. The Wikipedia picture is from nearly the same angle, with a winter snow coat.
