After cruising this board for a while I have not come across pictures of white letter tires on the E. Have you seen any? Have you tried it? Are you brave enough to post pictures? THANKS!

The stock tires come with white letters?:?
I haven't seen any with white letters. The stock goodyears, as far as I know, are all black letters....:D
Go for it, post pics, and lets all see.....

There are some posted pics with white letters on the outside. Nobody has specifically stated; "Here are my white lettered tire pics" so you won't be able to search for the pics. Just go through the Image Forum and you'll see some with white lettering.

It's a personal preference.

Thanks for the replies....I have to replace the tires on both E's after only 18,000 miles. Looks like I am going with the Michelin LTX M/S and the local SamsClub has them with white Letters. I hate to pay extra for the white letters and not use them! :-D

Lwclancer had a NBP E with the white letters out on a set of Revos. Looked pretty good.

I made sure my BFG's had the white lettering turned in. I'm just not a big fan of white lettering on tires.

if I remember I will repost the pics. But I think Cappacino had his turned out, and those threads are recent enough to see the pics...I will see if I can find his link(s)

Me too (or three or four :) )! Had my Dueler Alenzas mounted letters in - my E just isn't the white lettering style. Have seen white letters out on NBP and RR that looked GREAT. To me a lot depends on the "look" you want and the E you have.

I loathe white letters and white walls. Never gonna happen on my cars!

I went with the white letter inside on my Bridgestone Dueler H/L's. I like to have my tires looking black with a shine to them and I knew that having the white out, the white letters would get dirty big time. If you dress them you have to work around the letters and then if the Mrs. get's behid the wheel and scuffs them, I'd be pissed! Only woman I know who can use all the rubber of a tire.

I like it better without the white showing.

I know I've seen them in here. One guy (wish I could remember his s/n) had the LX steelies with white letters.

I think that white letters are making a comeback. When I replace my OEM's, I'm definitely considering white letters.

Edit: Found it! See post 559

I am thinking about getting white letters on my next set of tires. I had an old camaro that I used to paint the inside of the raised white lettering - looked kind of cool. It was a little extra work and upkeep, but made it unique.

Yeah, I think it depends some on whether you have white outlined letters or white letters, how big they are, what size sidewalls etc. But I think they generally look good.

Absolutely, but it now belongs to someone else. I feel LW's pain.

I think the white letters facing out give the E a more off road look.

:-( Its sad....I think it would just kill me to know my E belonged to someone else...

To each his own of course, but I like BobHCH's better. The white outlines look good but take up too much of the sidewall IMO. Oversize the tires a bit more and I think it would balance better, but the rugged tread helps.

The REVOs do have a bit larger letters than the BFGs, but I am pretty sure both tire is a 235/70/16...about as big as you can get with rubbing in an AT tire
