Hey All,

So my element just reached about 34K.

I took it into the dealership for an oil change and also had them look at a tire that was losing air slowly.

They told me that it had a side puncture and it needed to be replaced.

They wanted to charge me almost 300$ to replace the STOCK tire.

So I went hunting and found a place that would do the replacement for 175.

My question is should I even do the replacement? Or should I get all 4 tires replaced with NON-STOCK tires?

Since I already have 34k on these tires I am thinking maybe I should do a full replacement. The dealer said the other tires were fine.

Finally, I was thinking about just replacing the 1 tire for the summer and then looking into replacing the set later this year.

thoughts?

thanks

same boat you are, but $ i would venture a guess that $300 is a bit high. type in tire in the search thing or go to the tires and wheels forum. people have really researched this. definately replace all four, the original goodyears suck. iVe heard around $5oo all four mounted and balanced unless you just have a whole bunch of money to spend on tires.

Need Tire Advice You should use them (tires that is)...:)

300 bucks...that crazy talk. Like said before you could almost get four tires for that...or at least two for that price.

I understand that 300$ is too much. As I stated later in the post I found a different shop who is charging 175.

My real question is,:

Should I replace the 1 tire and wait to do all 4? Or should I just go out and buy the set right now?

If I should put 4 new tires on what would be a reliable and relatively cheap model?

175 for a stock tire? Come on do some research on here as recommended. Besides stock tires are crap.

The very best tire you could buy would be MUCH less than 175.
