Hi friends - i have bought my Element here in Switzerland a year ago and now i find that it's the right time to update my radio. But there is a problem occuring - nobody can help me to replace the factory XM radio to another one due to the Non DIN conformity.

As you know - the factory radio has about 5 wirebundles with 5 plugs to insert in the back of the radio - our carstereo's here in Swiss have maximum 2, plus a different antenna and subwoofer is connected via chinch cables.

Does anyone of you know - if there are any kind of adaptors available that i can use maybe a Blaupunkt Radio/CD/MP3 in my E.

Thanks for help.

I don't believe there is anything that will allow you to use the factory XM radio with your Blaupunkt. Beyond the incommpatablility of the plugs, there is a buss language issue. Whatever way the factory XM tuner communicates with the factory radio is certainly different than the language Blaupunkt uses.

You'll need to use a Blaupunkt XM tuner. Those plugs and language will match. You could possibly use the Honda antenna - here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21653&highlight=factory+xm+antenna) is a thread on doing that - but using Genom's hidden antenna trick might be easier, I think. Here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19971&highlight=factory+xm+antenna) and here (http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20040&highlight=hidden+sirius+antenna) are two threads on that.

James, you are now internationally famous with you antenna trick! :D
