In the 70's during the gas crunch and rationing, there were many people walking around with hoses and bad breath and almost everyone had a locking gas cap...
How about a Gas Crisis Special on Locking Caps!!!! and we can keep those hosers out of our tanks!

Just like the idea of a locking gas cap. It would be so much better if it were keyed the same as the ignition. But beggars can't be choosers.

Why do you need a locking gas cap? From what I understand you cannot siphion from new cars these days. Just ask anyone in South Florida that tried during the hurricanes last year. They have anti-siphioning systems in them.

If you buy the Honda gas cap, you can key it to the ignintion key read this thread to #10. you can do it yourself or you can take it to a locksmith. just don't insert the tumbler into the cap until you rekey it. link; http://www.elementownersclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17015

[QUOTE=calvin13]Why do you need a locking gas cap? From what I understand you cannot siphion from new cars these days. [Quote= Have not seen the anti-siphon set up as used on the Element, but my Dodge van has a caged plastic float ball that shuts off the fuel from spilling out in a rollover. Also works as anti-siphon. I'm more concerned about some "slow leak "(mental case) putting something in the tank.
