We are planning to drive from California to Indianapolis to attend our first Formula 1 race this year...in the E, of course.

Anyone else planning to attend the US Grand Prix on July 2?

This is the event we're attending: the Crossroads Boy Scout Council (http://www.crossroadsbsa.org/upcomev.htm) has arranged an overnight camping event on the infield. We read about this in our son's Boy's Life magazine (our son just earned his Bear rank in Cub Scouts). If you have a current Cub or Boy Scout (Venturer or Eagle, etc.) in the family, you're eligible for this deal, too. It's $50 per person and includes some meals plus general admission on the lawn to view the race.

I know there are usually a lot of open wheel fans lurking around - so let us know if the Grand Prix is something you'll be attending. We can meet in the pits!

Hello MsMarvel! Wish that I could go but our dance card is pretty full for summer. I love Formula 1 Racing. It's my favorite.

Missed you at the last camping trip at Lake Casitas but glad to hear that your Duke Ellington Choir week end went well.

Can you guys make it to the Tahoe camping trip in August? It would be so bitchin if you could go! Love to see you Erin, Andrew and Johnsonwax again.
I sure hope you can make it!

We are heading out to the 500 race. Cant wait! been going the Indy 500 every year. Started in 1971, can't stop.

We have tickets to the F1 at indy, We have been to it twice. I'm not much of a fan of F1, as I am of indy. There have been two races that Were a farce. An insult to the intelligence of the racing Fans that pay there way. I will sell the tickets on E-Bay. There at the start finish line, 5 rows up from the track. Every time I put them up for bid, someone from Europe Pays 3 to 5 times the 150 a seat ticket price. Good luck to them !
